I would just like to express my opinion about when parents bring very small children into movies. It is one thing if it is a kiddy movie, but not anything with more than a PG rating. It's not like they would understand whats going on anyway. All they do is ask about the plot every 5 seconds and cry the whole time. Then, when they do start crying, the parents don't leave the theatre. Well, actually, that last part was a personal experience of mine and the reason why I am creating this thread. That happened in the middle of POA!

I hate kids in theaters.
Parents who bring their kids, don't they realize their ruining the film for all the other people watching. It really isn't fair.
Hire a babysitter or wait till it comes out. I pay too much money to see a film (i only go about 4 times a year to theaters) and I expect to watch it without crying.
I saw HP and Riddick and Spiderman recently, and all had babies (like 1 year olds) crying.

Yeah, that too. If a phone rings, either turn it off or leave the theatre to answer it.

Better yet just keep the phone off period. I can't count how many times someone in the theater flips their phone open for no apparent reason other than to just show off it's bright light.

You know how they had separate sections for smokers and non-smokers in restaurants? They should put people with children in separate theaters along with the people that don't turn off their cell phones.

people just cant tear themselves away from their phone for like 2 hours? i hate people
Although it is fun when the whole theater gangs up on someone whose phone keeps going off.......
dont mind kids hate parents with no parental skills ... I never had problems with my daughter and she was as little as 3 when I took her to the pictures first time

Babies are okay, not all cry. Kids are pretty annoying. But those adults who think they are better than everyone alse and the macho mans who think they are tough are the ones that get on my last never. I went to see Spider-Man 2 and the guy behind me was making fun of how unreal everything was. My 5 year old brother turned around and said 'shut up!', and he did, guess he wasent that tough.

Not all babies are annoying, but most are. As for cellphones you really don't have to turn it off. Just put it on vibrator. If for whatever reason it rings you can either ignore it or step out and answer it.

If kids can see R rated movies with parents buying the tickets they should atleast be in there teens.

In Canada all establishments are 100% smoke-free.

We went and seen HP:POA and this guy sitting down from us, was making calls during the movie. I just felt like grabbing his phone and smashing it, but nowadays people would shoot another person for stuff like that. I'd like to create a theater that is thickly lined with lead that no cell signal can get in or out.
THis is something that gets to me to. In Australia they have a thing called "Babes in Arms" Where if a kid is under a certain age, i think it is like, 6, the kid gets in half price and the whole theatre is full of mothers and children, that was they are not ruining the movie for others.
Unfortunately, you still get people who dont go to those.
And sometimes the parents are worse. During POA, the woman behind me kept explaining every little thing to her son. The funniest thing was when the kid turned around and said "mum, shut up, i have read the book, i know what happens"
And phones. My friends are those annoying ****s who have their phones on silent, but then answer them in the movie. I refuse to go with them unless they turn their phones off and give them to me to put in my bag.

GOD DAMN IT!!! It happened again. I just got back from Anchorman, and there was a silent part in the movie and a phone rang. The girl answered it and talked on it for a full 5 minutes! JESUS CHRIST!

It's not the kid's fault. They don't know what they're doing. It's the stupid parents that don't realize they are ruining the movie for everyone else.

Yeah, I know, but it is the the kid's fault when they are old enough to ask about plot points all the time.

I would much rather hear some little kids screaming or crying during a movie than hear some dumbass talking on their cell phone and having it ring. Kids have never bothered me at movies that I ever recall. Parents must not be so dumb here? LOL...

As for cellphones... well back in my theatre working days I used to have to do pre movie announcements. I'd always tell them that if I heard a cellphone I was taking it. :D
Damn good idea TyRoss! Did it work?!

Makes you wonder if he knew the name of the movie he was watching........
