You know that movie with Weird Al Yankovich. Did you like it? I thought it was really funny. Of course it was a stupid-funny movie though, but it was still funny! I wish it opened a year later, that would have been way better box office wise.

This is one of "guilty pleasure" movies. It didn't do well at the box office, but I do remember seeing it in the cinema when it came out, and I thought it was hilarious. Stupid-funny..but I genuinely laughed. It didn't take itself too serious, with its irreverent humour. I didn't hear about it again for years and years until it finally came out for rent, which of course is where it gained most of its following, become a major cult movie. Now, I own it on DVD! And for being a pretty minor movie, it has consderable amount of extras! Sweet! Its one of those movies that I could watch any time...just to laugh. :)

another "guilty pleasure" for me is Godzilla. The acting suck, but it is a great popcorn flick.

Its about a small, UHF radio station that Weird Al gets put in charge of, and the hilarious antics and off beat TV shows that come out of it.

The audio commentary is one of my favorites of all the DVDs I own, it's just purely ridiculous, like the movie.

And it is great that MGM finally went in and did a good job with the DVD. I knew they would, MGM generally treats cult classics with a lot of respect (see their Killer Klowns From Outer Space disc), but they really delivered. I'm surprised it's not labeled as an SE or something.

I saw the movie first in 1999 when I had first heard a Weird Al album and loved it. It's still ridiculously funny. Raoul's Wild Kingdom is an all-time cult highlight.

I know...its amazing how exceptional the DVD is, considering the "small" stature of the movie.

...And oh, yeah. They really hate it when you do this!"

I'd like to add that Michael Richards was great, as usual.

The deleted scene reel on the DVD is great!

"Hey! You want to see Stanley stick his hand in a meat grinder?"
*clip of sequence*
"Yeah, me neither."

Yes, I mean, come on! If you have Fred Meyers (or Wal-Marts or Targets) it won't be more than $9.99!

This movie has a great following. The day it came out, I couldn't find it anywhere, and then a week later I finally found the last remaining copy at a Fred Meyer which had sold the rest of them.

This movie did so well on DVD (which i own), there was talk of a sequel, but died down a few months later when Wierd Al said he'd wait for "The Wierd Al Show" to hit DVD first.

I think you're the only person who ever heard the slightest rumors of a sequel.

Al has said forever that he would have to clear a lot of his time to make another movie, and while we shouldn't rule it out, by no means should we expect anything to happen.

I heard the rumor in 2003 from AICN so if i can't be the only one.

AICN is not credible. Weird Al never said a single thing on his website and it never popped up on any of Al's fansites.
