Anybody figured out any LOTR themes on guitar? I just started working out the Rohan theme with the violins.(probably because it was stuck in my head...)
G 2-2-2---5-4---5--/7-2---2-2-2---5-4---5--/7---7-7-7-/9--5-4-
G--5-5--2
This is all i figured out so far. the timing is hard to tab so youll have to listen to the music.

I love playing Howard's music on guitar. Did you know that if you put one of the disk's of the Two Towers EE into a computer with a DVD-rom drive you can print out how to play Gollums Song for free? Its in the online content section.

I know a couple.Figured them out myself.
For the song Gandalf sings at the beginning of FOTR it follows a very common chord progression. Here we go.
C G
The Road goes ever on and on.
Am Em
Down from the door where it began
F C
Now far ahead the road has gone
Dm G
And i must follow if i can.
Next, the Bridge of Khazad Dum.Not the tabs actually, but the chords. Here we go.
A G A
F C D
F G
A G A
F G A

GOSH!!!
I cannot read these charts!
I played guitar with Eddie Van Halen once before he met Gene Simmons in early 1977 and I cannot figure out what you dudes are writing...

The numbers mean the frets.
The / and \ signs mean to slide up and down.:)

You cant read tablature? It's the stuff that shows how to play songs at the end of most guitar magizines.
Here's Gollums Song:
(In chords)
Intro(As the strings come in)
Gm Bm Gm Bm Cm(maj7) D CM D
Verse
G#m Bm Cm D B Bm Cm D
Where once was light...
Chorus(Same as the Intro)
Gm Bm Gm Bm Cm(maj7) D Cm D
These tears we cry...
Second Verse
Chorus(repeat the Cm D at the end.
This is a simplified verson since a lot of the chords as they are writen are for piano, they are almost impossible to play on one guitar. At least I cant figure them out.

I figured out the hobbit theme, but I haven't sat down and written the tabs for it. Maybe in the future I shall share, but for now it's my precious... :)
I haven't played much guitar lately. My neck is all warped, and any note above C on the high E string is all twangy. Not to mention it gets out of tune if you look at it funny. *sigh*

It might be because they are new strings,or simply lousy strings thats all.
