The Mansion in Eyes wide shut.

I recently watched Eyes Wide shut, and of course in it Tom cruise goe's in that Mansion. I was wondering, what are the people inside?

Are they santanists?
Are they just role playing?
Are the enacting their fetish's?
Are they a cult?
A religion?

what the heck are they? :confused:

I'd say all the above, and whatever else you want it to be. Kubrick was just exploring different attitudes towards sex.

I believe they are a very old secret society. I don't think they would be categorized as any of the above, but I have read The Da Vinci code and Brow comments about that scene in the movie saying that in secret societies like the Sion Prion sex between a man and a women was more of a spiritual thing than actual pleasure for themselves.

I would recommend The Da Vinci Code to anyone. I'm sure it could answer your question.
