The Dvd is released in July with both R and unrated version. This film particullarlly will be hard for me to find because stores usually like to keep movies of this rating out. Is anyone planning on buying the DVD or watching it?

Seen it, thought it was brilliant and it showed how hypocritical the rating system is. Extremely violent movies, I mean EXTREME ones will never get an NC-17 but as soon as the nudity lasts just "too" long, it immediatly gets branded with NC-17

ya that is pretty unfair but that's the rating system 4 ya. The Mpaa edits movies to death to make them "Easy" for general american audiences:rolleyes:

No, alittle to much "fun" in that film as the reviews hint.

Yeah but there isn't a limit for too much "violence" And NC-17 was made for violence and sex, but it only chastises movies with too much sex.

the Nc-17 has been given to films that were extremely violent such as kill bill than they re-edit but we all know the mpaa is more strict with nudity and sexuality because god forbid people watch nudity. Nudity has a much more worse affect on people than violence ever will:rolleyes:

Hmm perhaps then they should do all sex scenes in black and white :D I feel so strongly about this and the thing is I don't really care for sex scenes except if they are important like in the Dreamers but some movies just throw them in for nothing.

I agree, as long as the scenes are tasteful and important to the film's plot. Ok i agree a bit that this film in particular is a little too sexual for an R rating but what makes me mad is the rating ends up limiting the movies release and making it hard to find, that is unfair.

lol:D
The Mpaa also ties the NC-17 rating to porn and that makes me mad. The dreamers is NOT porn. That ends up making good films seem cheap.
but anyways.....there is an R-rated addition which is a lot more popular than the nc-17.
