I don't remember, and don't know why people make such a big fuss about it. I'm 100% sure that I watched an R rated movie by the time I was 8, and all my friends did. Nobody pays any attention to this stuff from where I come from, and you don't see people shooting at each other on the streets.

Our rating NC-17 prohibits anyone from the age of 17 under to come in. Its like a curse too, you'll almost never see a movie with this rating, movie makers avoid it at all costs. I'm sure you knew this alreay TyRoss, but others might not. :)

I don't remeber my parents never really cared. The first movie I can remember seeing in the theatres that was R was Braveheart I was probably 5 or 6 and I had my hands covered over my eyes for a lot of it.

too early to remember. My parents did not care about R-RATING, AS LONG as it did not have any nudity in it (my dad didn't care about this either but mum did)

i remember seeing T2 in theaters when i was six, but i believe i saw terminator before that

well I saw Shakespeare in Love when I was younger, but my parents skipped the prositution scene. The problem with owning the movie is I can go back and watch it after they're asleep.

But Aliens was my first real one, I think. I saw on FMC. They hadn't edited it.

my folks never really restriced me on what I saw as a kid as long as there was no graphic sex. I can remember seeing Havana when I was 9 or 10, but I bet there were others previous. I pretty sure I saw robocop with my neighbour, but I'm not too sure if it was when it was first released.

That seems to be one of the most universal first R's in the world. Just about everyone who was 8-14 at the time who reviews it seems to say it's the first R they snuck into.

National Lampoons Animal House. I wasn't even 6 years old and I seen it 3 times in theaters. Still one of the best college comedies.

John Carpenter's The Thing!

I remember being between the age 11-13. The movie theater back then didn't check a kids age that much. And being that my dad took my sis and I guess parents supervision was enough.

Let me say the movie ****ing scared my sister and I for nearly a month! No way should a kid seen that movie and I can't fanthom what made my father take us?

Plus, I remember another gentleman turning too us and saying we were too young to be seeing this, my father gave the guy a stare and he turned around and shaddup for the rest of the film.

The guy was right but he wasn't gonna get in my dad face or he would've been laid out! lol!
