[Se7en the movie]

please tell me someone else has seen this movie. I rented it tonight and just finished watching it. Why i rented it, i dunno but it looked interesting. The plot? well thats not important, whats important is some very nice action scene and pretty funny comedy. Granted the movie borrows heavily from the matrix and independance day but its entertaining and the bad guy is fantastic! Think of this film like the one except with better action and knows when not to take itself too seriously.....

i am pretty sure there are other threads about this. andrey and i were talking about it quite awhile ago, it has kaneshiro in it who is an amazing actor, and it is a very enjoyable film. also the bad guy is played by goro ki****ani of miike fame.

It was okay....The dude is the guy who plays and voices (in Japane version) the Onimusha Series.

I liked the Slow-mo scenes and how the girl messed with him, but I was waiting for some good action to come along and it came near the end and was only 10 seconds long and didn't make up for an almost actionless movie.

Question: The thugs drive by the old lady in the car and she blows it up midchase sequence....WHY DIDNT SHE BLOW IT UP RIGHT AWAY SO SHE DIDNT RISK THEIR LIVES?!

Okay film, I'd never see it again....the Alien Transformation scenes were crazy

Nothing special, but enjoyable. I give it a 6/10. It's what I like to call a good "DVD movie." Meaning that it's very watchable.

The best thing about the movie is Takeshi Kaneshiro. Hotness.

So I've heard mix review on this but I decided to get on DVD just because Kaneshiro is in it but the movie is not that bad. Sure there are many things that are from other movies like ID4, ET, Matrix, etc but it is not like ripping off from those movies.

The best part of this movie is probably the action sequences and acting. At least Kaneshiro doesn't come off as Keanu's Neo. Miyamoto has more expression than all of the expressions Neo has in 3 Matrix combine.

I got the dvd yesterday and finally saw it today. It's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be after reading some reviews. Of course there are many thing that could have been done better, but it's an enjoyable movie. Liked Kaneshiro's performance, and Goro Ki****ani is great as a bad guy.

Heh well I happen to like Equilibrium.

Don't see how anyone would make this movie be anything it's not. I'm not saying it's great or even good, but there are some things about it that made it worth watching IMO.

I like Equilibrium a lot!

Just because you didn't it like as much as those who are, you can't say that we are not allow to have our own little community who share the same thought. This is just a matter of personal taste.

As much as I like Returner and Kaneshiro, I know that this movie is not a classic. But there is nothing wrong about liking this movie. If there would be some people who like this movie and want to share their opinion about it then you can't say they can't do it. I believe we already have Asian's "Godfather" like movie and it is called "Infernal Affairs".

Did you get to see the featurettes? I really like the diary one. I also like the before and after one too. The music is also great even if few of them are like borrowing from other places.

I like the cover too. But that is probably because I like how Kaneshiro is standing and all. It looks really cool.

I don't know if you should rent this movie because this movie is like you either like it or hate it. To me I like it but to you, well you might hate it. But it is not a bad movie at all.
