Pure Gold !!!!
How can anyone not like this film, The 1988 Blob has some of the coolest death scenes of all time, A mullet headed Kevin Dillon, the annoying brother from Return of the Living dead 2 (even more annoying here), typecast dad Art LaFleur, pre-Baywatch hottie Erika Eleniak, and of course the ultra hot 80's babe , Shawnee Smith!!!!Her prescence alone makes this flick.Wel that and Dillon's hairstyle.lol.
One of my top 5 horror films.
There should have been a sequel to this!!!
Director Chuck Russell , a year before doing this film directed Elm St 3 and he was responsible for Giving Freddy his comedic side.
He also Directed The Mask and The Scorpion King among others.
Here's one of the coolest posters I have ever seen...

I thought I was the only one who loved the remake. When I was a kid, the original scared the bejeezus out of me. Now, though I still love it, I watch the original and laugh. But the remake still gets me a little. It doesn't really scare me, but there's something about the Blob that is just disturbing.
I picked the DVD up a few months ago for something like $7.50.
I, too, would love a sequel.

No, no remake. More of a sequel of some sort. I'd actually put this up there right under an A Nightmare on Elm Street remake for being BIG No-nos. But yeah, a sequel would be great. I loved this movie ever since I was twelve, and it still works on me. And I'm really loving the poster sniktawt posted. I've never seen it before.
