Sorry, I forgot to put multiple choice on the last one. Choose which parts you think actually happened in the movie"The Ghost and Darkness."

True parts I mean. The actual guy who shot them wrote a book called the "The Man-eaters of Tsavo" which I read all of the parts about the lions(they are only in half the book), and read some other about the subject like "Maneaters" and "Ghosts of Tsavo."

The movie starred Michael Douglas as the hunter Remington, and Val Kilmer as the railway engineer Col. Patterson, which came in 1996.

No, to edit your posts. You can't post 5 times in a row, you can edit the first post to include the information from the other ones. Don't make a new post about a spelling mistake, just edit the first one.

What, like a prize. No. I'm just have people guess which parts of the movie The Ghost and the Darkness are true.

I was going to put True and False, but that would make a lot more options. So, I'm just having voters choose which ones they think are true.

And after a number of votes, I will tell which ones are true and false.

Haven't you seen the movie? It takes place in Kenya in 1898 where during the constuction of a railway bridge, two lion team up to kill a bunch of workers. And the man in charge of the construction was Lt. Col. Patterson, Brit. Army officer who hunted them down. The lions was supposedly so cunning that they were thought to have a been supernatural by the workers.

I'll give the answers about when voting has stopped, or maybe after I get at least 15 votes.

Not really, more than a few are true.

1. 100 people-most likely true. There is no official number, but most people say that they killed an estimated 135 people. The only official number is the number of Indian workers(Indians were the most used workers) killed by the lions, which was 28. Col. Patterson didn't keep any number of local Afican workers.

2. The Remington Character(played by Mike Douglas)-False
Patteson shot both lions. He did get some assistance from the local and District Officer, but Patterson mostly did it alone.

3. Lion Trap-True
There were only two workers instead of three that was shown in movie. They had a lamp, but they didn't knock it over. The trap was made of two large railway boxes, with bars in the middle 3 in. apart. The door was made of rails and with chains on opposite sides holding them together. Lion made it into the trap, and ravage savagely against the bars, and the workers began firing. Patterson was moving towards them from one side, but bullets came whizzing around him. One the bullets blew off one ot the door chains, and the lion escaped only slightly wounded.

4. Several people in one night-False
The most people the lions killed in one night was two, and wounding another.

5. Owl kocking Patterson off-False
Patterson did use the post to kill one of the lions. He used it because the lions had left a dead donkey they had killed, and he wanted to wait there for them to return. There were no trees around, so he made the post, which was about 12 feet hight. At night, he could hear the lion on the ground around, it was too dark to see it. An owl did land on him, but he mantained his balance. Patterson shot where the growls were, and found the lion dead the next day in a crouching position. Two bullets were found in it, one in the hind leg and the other in the heart.

6. Patterson misfire-True
Patterson had some swahili tribesman lead some of his workers through a thicket banging cans and bars, while he waited for the lion to come out on the other side. When it did come out, he aimed but had misfire. The lion was scarred off by the workers, but realized he had a bullet in the left barrel(it was double-barreled rifle).

7. Manes-False
The lions had little or no manes due to either genetic traits or bushes ripping the hair out. Most of the manes were large patches of hair on the shoulders and under the cheekbones.

Who cares? The movie sucks. One of the least believable movies ever. 1st rule of Lion hunting - Don't let a big bird knock you in the path of a lion.
