Hmm... bit early to be thinking about that I think. There isn't even a regular edition yet.

But I doubt it. It isn't a trademark of his, I don't think any of his other films have had EE's. I think it's just that LOTR is such a huge, epic story to tell that it was difficult to fit in, even into three 3 hour films.

he could do it. i can see the reasoning for it, but he may just be soo sick of doing an EE for each movie he does. or he could like it so much he'll push to get one done

Not going to happen. He wants the film less than two hours, and there is less KK material than LotR material by about the distance from the sun to Pluto.

As to todd philip's comments:
a) That is not an EE. The theatrical Frighteners was a studio-mandated cut because it was too long. In this case, the version that went to theaters was not Jackson's intended version, and the one on Laserdisc was released on the studio's offer. In the case of the EEs, they were for fans' enjoyment, basically -- the TE is Jackson's "director's cut" and the preferred cut of the film.

b) Evil Dead is a Sam Raimi film, not a Peter Jackson film.

But I'll assume you meant Dead-Alive (aka Braindead) and in this case it was mostly country standards. Also, Jackson has stated that the longest cut of the film on DVD throughout the world is not the best. IMDB has his preferred cut noted, but I don't remember it.
