I thought that the idea of having a lightsaber staff with Darth Maul was excellent in the first one, and was a little disappointed when they killed him off at the end. If anyone has ever played Jedi Knight II: Jedi Academy you will get to fight a lot of guys with double ligtsabers and lightsaber staffs. Should they use lightsaber staffs and double lightsabers in the fight scenes in Episode III? Personally I would be very disappointed if they didn't because this is the episode with all the fighting supposedly. What do you think?

I would love to see more use of the double-edged sabers, and morel of one person using 2 Lightsabers at the same time.

A light-saber jousting competition on rancors.

Or not.

How about on Tauntauns?

But really, yeah, someone weilding two normal sabers at once is cool.

Maybe a couple EWOKS using double edged lightsabers!! Now THAT would be cool!!

As far as I could see not even one of the Jedis were using a double-edged sabers or double sabers in the bigg fight in episode II. That was just annoying.

Wrong. There are at least 2 i've spotted (in the background though) that is weilding 2 lightsabers at once.

Anakin uses 2 lightsabers for about 5 seconds when he fights Duku. I think I read somewhere that there was more footage of Duku and Yoda fighting in which Duku has 2 lightsabers or something like that but they never finished it or never released it. I think it's time to pull out all the stops. Lightsaber madness for EIII

What I've always wanted to see is a girl Jedi using a Light-Whip.
That would be so cool.

As far as the final battle between Obi Wan and Anakin is concerned, I think it should be one saber on one saber, gritty, dirty fighting. Like Luke v Vader in ROTJ only with more punching and smashing into rocks.

Also, I want to see Anakin use a force choke on Obi Wan. We've had force lightning but that aspect of the Siths power seems to have been missed out so far.

i think the double edge sabre should stay as Darth Mauls signiture lightsabre in the movies, eg. no one else should have one.

I liked the guy in Ep. 2 that used two sabers and both of the blades pointed to the ground, he held them like you would a knife or dagger . . .

Where was he? I don't remember him. But I know in Star Wars Jedi Power Battles, Adi Galia held her lightsaber in that way. That would be cool to see some new lightsaber techniques.

Because we're going to see a lot of jedi get killed in this movie, I want each little duel to look good. I felt watching the Jedi die in the arena didn't look too great. They went down a bit easy and their performances were less than impressive.

I agree, it was lame how easy that one particular Jedi died do easily when he got shot by Jango Fett. He didn't even block a single shot. Maybe they were just a bunch of Padawans.

Two-Lightsaber battles on staff lightsabers and two-sabers on two-sabers would just blow my mind. Do you honestly think though that as crappy as the last 2 star wars have been that Lucas will be able to once again get creative enough to realize this is what star wars should be like?

EPISODE III is going to be LIGHTSABER CHAOS!! The Begining of EPISODE III is going have lightsaber fighting when (SPOILER) Obi-wan and Anakin battle Count Dooku and General Grevious inside the Seperatist ship. Another fight (Spoiler) has Obi-Wan fighting General Grevious who weilds two lightsabers as Obi-Wan starts giving him a hard time Grevious then Weilds two more lightsabers which has Grevious weilding FOUR lightsabers at one time. Obi-Wan then has to deal with Grevious' henchmen who weild lightsaber type weapons that kill jedi on contact. (spoiler) the duel between Anakin and Mace Windu is going to be a two against one when Darth Sidious helps Anakin kill Mace Windu. During this duel, Darth Sidious is suppose to flash out his lightsaber also. (Spoiler) Anakin's assult on the jedi temple with the clone troopers has anakin fighting many jedi and killing them quickly. Then we have the greatest duel of all, obi-wan and anakin's epic lightsaber duel which will be the last duel we see in EPISODE III, will be about 12 minutes long and be i think the coolest and most sick lightsaber duel we have ever seen. There are also other lightsaber fights that happen in EPISODE III that Rick Macallum has hinted that but he said that he can't reveal those. EPISODE III is going to be lightsaber heaven.

Why is it his signature weapon? I think the only thing signature about most lightsabers is the color of the blade, not how many blades it has.

So do you think Mace Windu will have a significant battle scene? I know that Samuel L. Jackson is getting up there in age and he might just get trashed pretty quickly. What do you think, should he go out in a blaze of glory because he's supposedly awesome with a lightsaber (according to Obi-wan) or should he just die quickly?

I agree - double bladed sabers should not be unique to Darth Maul. Mainly because it wasn't Lucas' idea in the first place. The first double-ender was used by Exar Kun and Princess Leia uses one in the ps1 game Masters of Teras Kasi. It should be limited only to people who have exceptional skills with a saber.

And I think Windu should go down after a good fight. But before he is slain I want to see him do an Obi-Wan and prepare to become one with the force. Perhaps Obi-Wan could witness him doing this which is then his motive for doing the same in ANH.

I'd like to see Mace use a purple double-edged saber since he is meant to be so good with sabers and the double-edged sabers are for exceptional skilled fighters.

double bladed lightsabers i do not belive have to be unique either.

I haven't seen this much talk about double edged.... well anyway - I just hope that there is an actual sroyline along with all this "Killer lightsaber action" I would hate to leave the theater saying "That was a cool special effect filled fight scene, I wonder when the story is going to be told".

i just want the following in one fight.

- Obi Wan
- Ani
- lots of lava
- some lightsabers

I think that there is definitely room for both a good story and excellent light-saber battles. After all, this is the story that is supposed to be about the fights and the destruction of the Jedi and the beginning of Vader.

Personally I thought in Episode I when Darth Maul used his light-staff or whatever you want to call it, that sort of set the standard. But unfortunately I think Lucas sort of digressed on Episode II a bit with lackluster Lightsaber action. The potential is there, the question is will they harness that potential and deliver?

They need a giant war, with Wookies,Gungans, The Confederacy, The Republic...that would be awsome.

They've been saying forever that he does. Most speculation has him fighting Sidious, but hat's all just speculation.
