Valinor

I was having an argument with my friend, hes read the books. He said that it would have been a great idea if we could see Valinor and the undying lands, but i disagreed with him. If Valinor is heaven to the Elves, then no one knows what heaven looks like, except for those who have died, so therefore showing Valinor in the movie would ruin all this. Im glad that they didnt show Valinor, but how do you guys feel, do you think they should have shown it.

I agree with you, the very idea is that no mortals ever see Valanor.... exept for a afew hobbits and a dwarf that is :)

i think that it's good that we didn't see it. some people would have been disappointed. it's something that wasn't totally essential to see, so that's why the movie still works when we don't see Valinor

There's no need to see Valinor. If a Silmarillion mini-series is ever made, then possibly, but until then, no need whatsoever.
