already finished filming?

i've heard they've already finished filming on episode 3...
is this true?
i mean, how long did it take to shoot? 30 days?

They've filmed most the film (75% roughly) in Austrailia. They started in June and finished in September.

They're working on the background special effects and small CGI and editing stuff right now, with a team of around 19.

In March, they will be filming the major battles scenes and extra stuff, in the UK.

They will have a rough cut of the film in the Summer of 2004, and if there are any last minute scenes that need filming, they will be done during the Summer/Autumn period.

After they have the completed film, all proofed and good, by Winter, John Williams will do the music and composing.

The film will be completed by early spring, with mass marketing (the biggest for any film) starting in around April.

During Summer of 2005, the film will under-go treatment, correcting any faults (Lucas is a perfectionist), for a Theatrical Edition DVD release, and then the Entended Edition (more commonly know as the Archival Edition) to be released in November and 2006.

No - it takes 3 years to make a STAR WARS film.
