I think there must be something about American humour that er, is just not particularly funny. :o (or is it just David Letterman?)

I think it's just David Letterman. I think his show is one of the best but as you can probably tell he seems to be running out of material lately.

I thought they were funny :)
It's just that Letterman's show has a kind of humor all its own - come on, "Will it Float?" and "Is This Anything?" are just so stupid they're funny. I love that show.
Although I agree, adt100 - give me British humor anyday!!! Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, Are You Being Served?, Ab Fab, Vicar of Dibley, Blackadder - some of the best!

The list is funny, but the title of the list is stupid... I mean, come on Dave, find something a bit more original than "Dumb Guy Complaints"...

"Yes, they could carry it on a line!"
"What, under the dorsal guiding feather?"
:) Holy Grail is great - in my post I actually meant the tv show Flying Circus - classic stuff.

I just think it's pretty hard to poke fun of something most people (well the intelligent ones ;) ) think is incredible.

I've only watched the TV show a few times, and I loved it. I would watch it more, but we toke the digital cable out of my room so now I don't get the BBC channel. :(
I love watching Letterman. The Dr Phil quotes were hilarious as hell. Or how about those George Bush jokes that aren't jokes segments. Funny stuff.
Some of those Top 10 Lists are pretty funny though.
