Frodo's Fate? (spoiler)

Question for anyone who knows. I never got to last book and im a bit confused by the movie. Does Frodo die in the end? Is he getting on boat to basically go to heaven or is it just a place he can be at peace from his wounds that he recieved. I know eventually he will die, because eventually they all will die sans the elves, but at the end of Return of the King is he basically dead or dying very soon after?

By the time he does get to the Grey Havens, his wounds are healed, mostly. He just goes to The Undying Lands (not sure if that means, whoever goes there doesn't die?) because Middle-earth just isn't the same for him. So there. He left because of his obsession of the ring. then again he is a pussy.

Hey ConnDestn, Basicly Middle-Earth has two Heavens....the one where all mortals go after death, and the one that is reserved for the imortal elves...Frodo sums it up pretty good when he is in bag end at the end of the movie....how dose someone, after they have gone though such a tramatic ordeal, just go back to there old way of life....he is scared so badley that he cant live there any more...so he has been given the special gift of being able to acompany the elves to the Undying Lands...there he can heal and find that iner peace that he could not find in Middle-Earth....But he is still mortal and will die at the end of his life, passing on to the Heavens of the mortals.....Hope that helps

So back off. You guys think anybody who doesn't have the same opinion as you is just some prick stirring up trouble. Sure LOTR is an amazing trilogy, but not everyone's going to think so. Although i'm not one of those people, you still get pissed for me stating my opinion of a fictional character. So please, don't get so riled up.
