you mean footage from the opening of the movie? Not them showing the movie on TV. Check listings for entertament tonight, or if you have the E! cabble channel, they should have something.

E will most likely have something...

Also we should be hearing about the TV special. I only know of one right now and that is NATIONAL GEOPGRAPHIC: BEYOND THE MOVIE.

Lurtz_2000, did you shell out the huge sum for a place in the grandstand? i would have, but it's a rip off, and then there's the issue of how to get to wellington

How much is the embassy charging, Moose???

The Moose

all the grandstand sold out in the first day, and i think they were charging about $100 NZ (about $60 US) for a spot on the grandstand. i don't think it was the embassy that was selling those, but the Wellington City Council

also, NZ will get a thing about the premiere live on channel 1 and 3. also one on the Sky Movies channel, so in all that's 3, and probably one on E! too, to make 4 things for me to watch

R U serious???

Is this money going to any special cause?

I sure hope Wellington City Council isn't taking advantage of LOTR fans.

The country of NZ and the city Wellington have earned great amounts of money through tourism because of LOTR, I really don't think they should be charging that amount for sitting in the grand stands. Unless like I mentioned above, the proceeds are going to a special cause.

Hopefully for the people that do go, the weather won't be an issue, How's the weather over there? I remember NZ had an unusual warm winter this year.

nah i didn't buy the good seats... i'll just have to stand on the crap street.
apparently they're putting a big screen outside the embassy and showing the two towers on it for free.
have you seen the big Fell Beast on the building?

The Moose

yep, the Fell Beast is prety cool. Jedi, as far as i know, the money th WCC is making is going straight into their coffers. i'm not too sure about the weather for Dec 1. my guess is a cloudy grey day, but with no rain, and a bit of wind. winter wasn't "warm". actually a bit colder than usual at some times, but was about normal. weather here at the moment is very changable. today it wa overcast all day, tomorrow's gonna be rainy and storym. hopefully we'll get another ridge of high pressure to sit around over us arund the 1st, giving some nice sunny weather, which may happen

Holmes also had a thing on tonight about the Embassy theatre. they went through it, and it's very very nice. Holmes is gonna have some more stuff on ROTK tomorrow night too. i think they said it's about Into The West, and some influence on it. hopefully we'll see some footage
