What is the best "Nightmare On Elm Street movie?" [Archive]

Inspired by T-1GO2' "What is the best Friday the 13th movie?" poll (http://www.comingsoon.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20214), I decided to post a movie poll for Jason's archenemy Freddy Krueger. So which "Nightmare On Elm Street" movie do you think is the best? Me, I say "Freddy Vs. Jason" was the best Freddy and Jason movie, but for an *actual* "Nigtmare On Elm Street" movie Part 3: Dream Warriors is the best in my opinion!:D

Actually Spike That poll is closed for some reason and it doesn't have Freddy VS. Jason On it anyways.

Plus the people who did all the posting in that thread , most of them don't post anymore so I don't think it's a big deal.

I said A New Nightmare.
I liked it for it's originality.
And Freddy looked the best in it.

i have to say freddy vrs. jason is the best freddy movie, because it rocked and it was his movie. althought the second best freddy movie was the 3rd one when he found his true meaning. To be funny

Nightmare 1 is my favourite movie. How the hell can you vote Freddy vs Jason over a true classic like Nightmare 1?

Umm... no. Freddy started loosing all of his credibility when Nightmare 3 was released, now he's seen as a joke, a comedian and not very scary.

i think the third movie is the best of the series, but as far as taking off were the last one left off, the fourth movie is the best. i think the second one is the worst one, because it basically ignored what made freddy, freddy.

I'd have to go with the original. Freddy was scary and cruel as hell in it.

Runners up would be Freddy vs. Jason and Nightmare 3. I haven't seen New Nightmare but I hear it's a good "elseworlds" tale. The rest are garbage IMHO.

i liked Nightmare on Elm Street - 3 (Dream warriors)

it was pretty cool where freddy makes the kid turn Puppet with the wires pretty cool,

all the others i didnt care for. Freddy vs Jason was the WORST of them all

First one, no competition... Back then he was a scary monster in your dreams, very disturbing... later he became funny character with some slashing between... just plain stupid.

Second was just gay, and the story sucked ass...

Third was the beginning of Freddy being a comedian...

The others just sucked.

the best nmoes as to be the first hands down a classic. second best is pt 3. the 2nd is the worst however i can't remember 5 that well it was so bad 4 was very average and freddy vs jason was pretty good but still a disservice to freedy and to jason. in my opinion michael myers is the best. hopefully the next halloween can do him justice once again.
