"After the release of Matrix Revolutions DVD this spring, we are whishing to release fall 2004 a box set containing the three movies, in which the brothers want to include in Matrix Reloaded the scenes reserved until there to the video game. We're also approching the idea of an audio commentary, or something close to it, but the two brothers don't like talking about their movie... We'll see. But anyway, all the questions you have have an answer, somewhere in the Matrix universe. Very few things stay without answers..."

And i'm back! LOL :D

very few things stay without answers?

millions of things remain without answers in the world

but this should be very cool - Wachowski bro commentary could be interesting but doubt it will happen - if it does i wonder if all they can do is be geeky or can they be interesting and funny?

let me see here, they are releasing all three films together, with no extra stuff, except the fact they are going to add the boring parts from ETM in Reloaded so they could make Reloaded more longer than it already is

Something like that. Nothing about extra stuff...

Hey, sweet, I'm looking foreward to that.

And just because they didn't mention extras yet doesn't mean they won't include any...I mean, give them a little more credit than that.

So do we,
a)Keep the three movies we own and get the Set
b)Sell the three movies and get the set
c)not bother with Revolutions get the box set and sell the other two...

I'm thinking A.

I didn't buy reloaded either. I am waiting to get it for X-mas.

my choose will be to keep the three films and not get the box set. I will only sell the three movies and get the box set if, and only if, they jam packed all three films with amazing extras

I've got M1, but not Matrix Reloaded or Revolutions. I'm waiting until all this chaos is over with. Anyways, I'm not too eager to get those 2 DVD's. The only reason is when I buy a DVD, I like to get only one version of it.

(I hate it when a DVD comes out and a few months later a sp.ed is announced!! Which, I'm sure these movies will be like that)

any new news on a release date or details? revolutions isnt in any theatres around me anymore, so they have to be prepping for a dvd release within a couple of months.

i'm not going to buy the box set if it ever comes out. From the looks of it, there won't be any extra stuff there, except the boring parts of ETM added in Reloaded, which is a bad idea.

Bring it on, I say give us the box set and I hope they dont a LOTR, release a short and long version of the DVD. Just give me the long version with all the bells and whistles.
If I dont get that, well I will still buy it because I am sure in the club hell scene, one woman was giving another woman a nipple twister. :clown:
Plus I need to check out all the finer detail like number plates, advertising etc etc

Matrix Box Set Planned
So says Joel Silver in an interview.

December 23, 2003 - The Matrix producer Joel Silver has answered one of the most common questions that arrive here at IGN DVD: will there be a box set for The Matrix series? The answer is yes.

In the December 2003 issue of DVD Etc., on newsstands now, Silver discusses the film, among other things, and says the following:

We're planning to do staggering things with it in the future. There will be a box set of all three 'Matrix' films.

When asked about special features, he said it was being decided, and added that he would like to do another transfer of the first Matrix film.

He didn't give any time frame for this. So there you have it, a little gift of news from Joel Silver.

If there's nothing extra coming with the box set I'll just buy Revolutions but if there's another disk or something included in a really sweet case then I'll be buying it

I only have two things that I need from this DVD set to make me truly pleased.

For Reloaded and Revolutions, a Revisited-style documentary -- Revisited was great and I'd love to know as much about the sequels as the original. Revisited is one of my favorite behind-the-scenes documentaries ever.

Audio commentary from two actors -- Laurence Fishburne and most, most, utterly, incredibly, amazingly importantly, Hugo Weaving. I have to hear Weaving's thoughts on these movies. I think Agent Smith was easily the character I thought was the best and Weaving did a fantastic job.

Of course, I would love to see the video game sequences, more behind-the-scenes stuff, deleted scenes maybe, whatever else can be dug up -- and certainly Wachowski audio commentary would not be something to complain about (I think Silver should accompany them -- maybe they'd be willing if they let Silver do a considerable portion of the commentating and they made a few selected moments for commentary), but those two things would make me the most pleased.

I think what they meant was that they wanted to put the scenes into the DVD, but not the movie.
I mean, if you watch the film clips in ETM without playing the game, it doesn't really make sense.

I hope they put something more than the 3 movies. That interview with the brothers sounds good for me... And some more deleted scenes if there are some deleted scenes...
