hey everyone. i had an idea. list your top 10 favorite horror movie heroes/heroines. These are the people in horror movies who have the most (if any) common sense and usually survive. One thing I have to say though is please don't criticize anyone's choices. it's just a personal opinion. here's mine:

1. Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) from Halloween,Halloween 2, Halloween H20 and Halloween:Ressurection: possibly the most tortured heroine in horror movie history

2. Darry Jenner (Justin Long) from Jeepers Creepers: I know lots of people hated this movie but to me he was one of the most realistic horror heroes and Long played him really well.

3. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) from Scream,Scream 2, Scream 3: just an all around likable strong female character who goes through a LOT of crap.

4. Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) from The Ring: goes through so much research and terror

5. Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) from A Nightmare On Elm Street: i just think it's cool how she does all the stuff to bring Freddy from the dream world to the real world

6. Father Alex Karris (Jason Miller) from The Exorcist: if I were this guy I'd be having nightmares for the rest of my life.

7. Young Fenton Meeks (Matt O'Leary) from Frailty: the person he's afraid of most is his father. the person he has to live with

8. Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) from Sleepy Hollow: Depp just gives a great performance with this

9. (tie) Erin/Sally Hardesty (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003/1974)) Holy crap. Talk about having a bad day.

and finally

10. Ash (Bruce Campbell) from The Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army Of Darkness: probably the character who has the most sense of humor in terrible situations.

So that's mine. Let's hear what everyone else has to say.

by the way to correct a mistake of mine for number 6 i meant Father Damien Karras. I think Alex Karris is the dad on Webster. sorry about the mix-up.

My top favorite hero-Ash.

Other then him I don't give a damn about victims in a horror film. I'm always rooting for the villian:)

i dont like it when people live because then you know the villan had no fun and has to kill him or her in a crappy sequal that usally has a terrible trillagy with a whole different story.

When seing such dumb flicks like TCM2003 with incredible stupid scripts I always am hoping that he is gonna get and kill them all in most painfull way!!!

Ash is the guy who has suffered most then anyone, just think about how insane you have to become to cut your own hand off??!

Instead of Sidney Prescott for scream 1,2,3, i would have put Dewey who is by far a cooler character.
