I just saw it last night (late night Halloween showing...) and i loved it. Best horror movie made in a long time. It captures the essence of the true story. I loved the tapes with the police and the last line stole most of my sleep last night but i have a question. I understand the whole thing with the baby. I understood why they wouldn't let her do certain things but what is with her saying

"She's not yours..." "She's Mine..."

It just confused me. anybody know?
And i know this might have been mentioned in the previous TCM thread. Please do not give me a link telling me i should have posted there. I didn't want to ask a redundant question. but if the answer is there, you can go ahead and save your self the time of writing in this thread and post a link.

Are we talking about the same movie? :( I've seen TCM twice in the theaters and have absolutely NO clue what or which scenes you're referring to. Instead of filling this thread full of spoilers, feel free to email me.

After re-reading your post numerous times I think I have a basic idea as to which scene you mean. I'll try to keep this short and simple so it won't give too much away for the people who haven't seen it. I think at that particular scene she is going insane because of the events that happened to her, and so to add icing to the cake she sees the child and recognizes the child from the earlier pictures of the family that were found inside the hood of the old car. Of course she then realizes that even these people are insane or have something to do with the events going on. So as a result she yells out "She's not yours, yadda yadda yadda."

I saw the film but I don't rememeber Jessica Biel's chracter saying, "She's mine", if thats the character you're refering to.
I know Biel's character says, "She's not your baby, you stold that baby!!".

Jessica didn't say "She's Mine" i meant the crazy lady.

and Snick- That ist the attiude i was trying toavoid. I knowit was most likley in the TCM thread but at the time of posting i had no time to check. Sorry about "double posting" previously asked question but i have been racked by those warnbings latley and it getting annoying.

I think you just answered your question then Darth. The lady was obviously crazy/insane and when Biel said what she said, as a result it caused the crazy lady to say what she did referring to the child as hers. Crazy people who aren't all there in the head, tend to make off the wall comments. :D
