heh.. I wonder if MARCUS NISPEL will direct the MGM film.. we'll see.. now miramax & the weinsteins are in the mix.. hmm...

How many Amityvilles ended up being made? including the straight to video/cable shlock..

I remember at least one being about a haunted replica of the house, another about a haunted clock from the house, another about a haunted standing mirror from the house.. so ridiculous..

I've seen 1, 2 and 3. Only because they were on a horror movie marathon and there was nothing better to do. ;)

The movies are all very B grade and very low on gore and the likes. The second one, however, I found to be pretty standout and kinda unsettling in some scenes.

I watched the first Amityville in my psychology class and god did it ever suck. There was this one part in the movie where the wife closes the window, then a black cat with red glowing eyes jump out in front of her...... i sat in the back of the class and i could see that nearly everyone one jumped hahahaha...(most of the ppl in my psyc class consists of girls so thats why)
The ending was soooo gay too. Even if i get paid, i still won't watch the remakes.

You should watch the second one. It is scary and very disturbing. Plus it has "Paulie" from the Rocky movie series in it!
It is dark and the whole incest thing is strange too. It is much better than the first though.
