View Full Version : We all have to face the TRUTH.
I think all of us on here need to face the truth, I'm pretty sure Neo1980 is telling the truth about Revolutions and how it ends.
I've spent the better part of my night reading posts from others who have also been to the premiere and saw the film. Heck, to prove he was there one poster by the name of Benjamin scanned a picture of his airplane ticket, the movie ticket and a coin he got from the premiere along with a note telling this other poster he was an idiot for not believing him because the guy had been flamming him from the beginning.
Benjamin's description of the movie is ofcourse like the "Dolan Treatment" and Neo1980's along with Welshfan's.
We hounded all these guys for info about the film because we knew they'd been to see the film or knew someone that did. Then once they told us we flamed them because we didn't like what we heard (myself included). But.... It's not their fault. They are not the ones we should be lashing out at...their just the messenger.
Sure, we can wait until Nov. 5th to see for sure if their telling the truth. I'm hear to tell you that they probably are and the sooner we accept this the easier it will be on us once we see it for ourselves.
My personal view is that I'm disapointed in this ending myself. It for me is anti-climatic and will probably be to alot of you as well. I personally think that "killing" these two characters in each film is the dumbest thing I've ever witnessed Hollywood vomit up.
I'll go see the film but all the anticipation for me is lost and I feel I have to see it out of some kind of odd loyalty to the franchise.
After reading the other posts and thinking about what I've learned of the online game....it makes sense and it's proof that Neo1980 and the others are right..infact Morph and Niobe's characters are the only two from the films mentioned to possibly be in the game.
I appologize to Neo1980 for adding to the "flamming fires" so to speak. I REALLY thought you were trying to mess with us though...I was wrong.
Oh, well.....Atleast I know Spidey isn't going to bit the bullet in Spider-Man 2, so I have that to look forward to. :)

Ahh. After hearing him talk in the trailers both to Trinity and to the Machine Lord it makes you think he has confidence in what he's got to do and how he won't fail. Then you read the ending and it's like he does fail because the machines have to "finish the job".
In this ending Neo is nothing more than "bait" for the machines to hook Smith and destroy him with.
Trinity's death is pointless. She goes with him to help him achieve his goal. Now if she was only there to pilot the ship they could have used any character from Zion for that, why have her go just to "exit" like she does. Other than to add a "cheesy" "I love you and I won't fail" scene. Ugh.

i think you will find that your expectations are much too large.
You might be right but I expected a better ending than this and I think alot of casual moviegoers will too.
I'm expecting a big drop in the box office after the first week.

Do I like how it ends no, but that isnt the reason we went after neo1980. If your going to claim to know someone who has seen it or you have seen it yourself you have to give more info then the same summary that has been done all over the internet. And than when you offer proof dont show us pictures of somone else at the premire. Is the ending he described the real one? Most likely it is, but I dont think he knew anyone who saw it he just wanted to feel important by posting it here.

But I don't understand why they need Neo to to pass along a "virus" or whatever it is to Smith when they have over 250,000 infected boddies. Plus if everyone in Zion who was infected by Smith lives after Smith is destroyed why wouldn't Neo?

I just can't except the fact that this is the way the movie is going to end. I'm not saying that I don't think what was said was true but I defenitly don't think we've been told EVERYTHING. Something is a miss, the fact that no details have been mentioned about the other supporting characters bothers me. Until nov 5th I won't be apologizing to anyone.

This isn't the only film or forum for which this kind of thing happens. Some people will get a chance to see a film before its release, some will have friends who have seen a film early, while most of course will not.
In the run up to the release reviews and spoiler reports will come in, some genuine or some not, but invariably, unless these reports come from well known, 'official' sources, people will be inclined (often unfairly) to rubbish them for whatever reason. Either because they don't like what they read or even out of envy. Only when the film comes out will we find out, but by then most will have forgotton all the reports that have come before, and whether they were genuine or not.

there's more than 250,000 people hooked up to the Matrix, Zion's people don't get infected by Smith, i think you're confusing populations
anyway, because Neo is half of the equation to create the virus-killer, Neo + Smith = both die, solution is then used to purge smith from the rest of the people, however, this will also purge any chance of one of them becoming an anomaly in the future, if you believe like I do that anyone can become an anomaly and control the Matrix

I saw a batman costume on ebay too, Logan. Wait till after halloween, in the slow costume buying period. Those Latex batman costumes that sell for 400 in the period before halloween will sell for 150. I saw a custom Superman that was kick ass for 250. It was like the one that Dean Cain wore from Lois & Clark.

The thing I don't get is there is a tombstone that can be glanced at from the Matrix Reloaded DVD. On the tombstone, it says Thomas Anderson. The scripment that neo1980 brought us, nor the similar scripments mention that...that is only in the STT scripment, which was out before the DVD hit with the special features.

Wasn't it obvious from the first matrix and speech of the archaetect and about all the predessors that that is what the machines were trying to do: test the humans for their compatability. Neo's predessors took the other door (not the one our neo took) obviously oterwise there wouldn't be anyother predessors to be talking about, right!? THis means that what the machines wanted was actually peace, they just weren't going to take te chance until they were sure that the humans also wanted it. who's da nigga now!? The humans!
Not to get the thread off topic but...I like Neo's look in the new films. I think the reason they went with the sleek look was for two reasons.
1) They needed something that looked like a cape when he flew to kinda mirror Superman but they didn't want him wearing one so they came up with the streamlined tenchcoat.
2) They used alot of CGI with Neo and it was probably easier for them to animate him wearing this type of outfit.
By the way did anyone notice that when he's fighting all those Smith's or when he's flying that he's got his sunglasses on. I'm guessing for the CGI parts they couldn't really make him look real if you could see his eyes. It Must have been something about the animated eyes that would have maybe pulled our attention away from him looking real.

Um, sure... that could be the reason. But ive already seen the CGI head duplicates of Hugo Weaving, and the eyes look fine. No, I think it's because Neo, plain and simple, where's his sunglasses a lot.... as all of them do, and as all of them have.

look at the CGI for the Flight of the Osiris. They have masks for teir eyes in the fighting bit [perhaps conveniently haveing a blind fight scene for what NEO is talking about] and without for the rest. who knows.

Wearing sunglasses makes Neo look cool or something...
IMO he wears it for the look,not cause the CGI.Besides,they could make the flying scene by making him lay down on a table,look forward and put a fan in his face(It'll look as stupid and unreal like the quidditch games in the Harry potter movies,which IMO are disgraces to the books).

There are five things needed for any drama:
Exposistion (the norm)
Rising Action (the conflict)
Climax
Falling Action
Resolution
Without these things, movies and books feel incomplete. If you watch a movie with no resolution, you feel like you didn't watch anything.
As far as your comment goes, I don't understand if you are trying to bash americans or make others feel better about themselves because they have some "comprehension" above Americans. Omg. This is hilarious. There are posters over at The Last Free City message boards fighting over who is right about the end of this film...The guys claiming to have seen it and this poster calling himself "Speaks the Truth"
This "Speaks the Truth" guy seems to have confessed to lying about part of his "spoilers" already and now he's coming back and claiming what he's saying now is true. Hahahah. Ofcourse his ending for the film is much better than The Dolan one and he keeps claiming it's true. I don't know about you but for me the guy lost his credibility when he lied the first time. This to me makes me believe more than ever that what's in the Dolan scriptment is true.

First things first, Aussie boy, I ain't American. I'm Greek... and since drama was pretty much harvested in anicient Greece I have to tell you that in all great tragedies (--> dramas) conflict is an essential factor...

The thing I hate about what the W bros have done to the Matrix franchise is that by making movies with so philosophy-lite pretense and zero substance they have in effect diminished the first movie... Wasn't Smith an agent of the system then that wanted Neo killed? Didn't they try their very very best to kill him? Oh... they knew he was the one they just wanted to show him the path?? Bull****! Complete and utter bull****! This is the disgrace! The W bros have betrayed the best movie of the franchise by muting its impact and its drama! if you can't see through that... i have to say that Aussies are sheep... The basic thing is that the majority of people will feel played by this ending and the longevity of the Matrix franchise will suffer because of it.

the ending is way lame and not a fitting and sufficient ending to the trilogy IMO.
i've been saying this since reloaded came out, but Revolutions is going to have a significant BO drop from Reloaded.

well, a large majority of people that saw Reloaded didnt like it, so that will contribute to the BO drop. and the negative reviews will contribue and the bad WOM will contribute. its a guarantee Revolutions wont make as much as Reloaded. I'll be surprised if it surpasses $200 mil.

Here I was hoping this guy or girl was telling the truth because I like their spoiler better.
The Wachowski's should have hired this poster to write the story for them. :(
