Does anyone know how tall Bara Dur is. I mean its so freaken tall like atleast 2,000 ft. But did it ever say in the book how tall it was.

very tall indeed. i think it was mentioned in one of the commentaries in FOTR:EE. i think that someone may have said something about 1/4 of a mile, may have been 1/2 opf a mile though. so that's about 1320-2640 feet. either way, damn tall

I just dont get how you build something like that. I mean the orcs dont have cranes or trackters.

No offense, DA, but you focus on some of the most insignificant details sometimes.

Anyways, I think Sauron built it with his ring, because after it's destroyed, the foundations of Barad-dur are also broken. *shrug* I think that at least may explain how it's so tall, if it's just magic.

At the start of the FoTR movie, when they show Bara Dur, you can see them still working on the top off it, it was not finished yet. They have ladders, rigging, ect. You can clearly see it on the DVD.

Probably as tall as Orthanc! and i don understand how it could have been built with the ring?I think the only reason it destroyed was for effect

but seriously If it doesn't say it in the book i don't think it can be too relevant!
