View Full Version : Official ROTK poster should be out by the end of the week

The reason I say this is because the posters for FOTR and TTT came out in the last couple of days in October, so if this is pattern is correct, then we should see the ROTK poster by the end of the week.

the final one-sheet wont be released until a few weeks before ROTK's release.

I assume that if a poster(s) does come in the next 2 weeks it should be the architecture posters. That's what happened with FOTR/TTT and there's certainly some great architecture in ROTK to make a great poster! :D

I'll be very disappointed if they don't have 1 of MT.

Well, I have the floating heads poster for both FOTR and TTT on my computer, and on the date of downloads, FOTR says 10/30/01, and TTT says 10/29/02, and I downloaded them the first days they appeared on the net, so if this pattern continues then we should have a poster for ROTK on 10/28/03.

I also just checked out which days I downloaded the architecture posters, which I also got on the first day they appeared on the net, and FOTR says 6/29/01, TTT says 6/27/02, and the Aragorn ROTK teaser says 6/30/03, so this shows that there is a method to how they're releasing the posters. They are releasing them almost on the same days every year, so I am totally expecting a floating heads ROTK poster by the end of this month.

December 10th is like 1 week before ROTK comes out, and I seriously doubt that we'll be seeing a poster that late for ROTK, lol.

It will be a floating heads poster, it would be dumb if FOTR and TTT were and ROTK not. I really dont see whats wrong with the floating heads posters.

I realise there's been a sequence to the releases for FOTR and TTT promotional material MovieWes, but remember, the promotion for ROTK has been quite different. Just look at how long it took them to get a final trailer out!

I would expect an architecture poster out in the next 1 or 2 weeks if they do 1 (I'll be annoyed if they don't do 1) and the final 'floating heads' poster within a month after that. Maybe the final week in November.

Well adt100, you are right about that. I do hope that we get an architecture poster, but I fear that the Aragorn poster might just be the teaser poster and we won't get an architecture poster. You could be right about there not being a poster in the next few days, though. You probably are.

It should be released by November 25th, because that is the release date for the soundtrack and the soundtrack always has character covers along with a cover that is one of the final one sheet.

IMO it's a nice representaion for that product, but I don't see it as a final one sheet.

The thing I really don't like about it is how they have a pic of Aragorn as Strider instead of Aragorn as Elessar. I think that since it is "Return of the King," it should have him as King, since he is the the title character.

Another reason why it's probably not the final one-sheet. There is no picture of Arwen anywhere on it.

Nahh, I don't think that's the final one-sheet poster...

I forgot where I heard it from but it's said that the final poster would not be one that consists of every characters or anything. More like a maximum of three characters on the poster...

My bet would be Frodo though Aragorn is the King and everything. Going by the 6 teaser posters, Sam/Frodo, Frodo, Aragorn, Gandalf, Gollum, Arwen (a tad bit redundant IMHO).

Ugh, I'm so anticipating the poster!

Actually, the final theatrical trailers for FOTR and TTT were released September 30th and 28th respectively, so ROTK had its trailer out right on schedule... It just didn't have a teaser trailer released

So, hopefully we'll be getting a final poster by the end of October.... Anyways, when someone gets the soundtrack with the poster as its cover they are going to post it online eventually.
