Celtics trade- Antwoine Walker and Tony Delk to the Mavs for
Raef Lafrentz and some poor nameless soul.

Celtics got straight jacked. They lose twoine, and take on a very overrated center who has a 70 million dollar contract. They can't even pay him. Mavs made out like bandits.

I live in Boston and the Celt DEFINETLY didnt get screwed in this deal... the Celtics are going to have a true center in the Eastern conference which is hard to find... think about it for a second WHO IS A GREAT CENTER IN THE EASTERN CONFERENCE? Not many teams have a good one.

Antoine Walker just threw up 3 pointers left and right and got his 20 points a game and usually missed 70% of the shots he took... Raef Lafrenz, Chris Mills and the other guy will do quite well here and i think wit the freed up cap room that they will get another good player next year. The Celtics plan is to run in the future and WALKER CANNOT RUN FOR CRAP and if you ask me we gave away a guy with a bum knee... he was lingered with knee problems ALL last year... so i say that trade is fine with me.

Zombie Killer please dont tell me your one of those people who look at points scored and says automatically hes better than the other guy that has less points... because that is totally wrong, Raef's gnna get blocks, rebounds, points, and a strong presence under the basket while Antoine will be throwing up threes in Dallas... come on now. Boston made a good deal in my mind.

I don't see how it's a good move for the future. Raefs making 70 million dollars on that contract. Boston can't afford to pay him that. They barely could resign Walt McCarty. Also, Raefs soft. Guy gets hurt way too much. Also, now Paul Pierce is not gonna have
the 3rd option Boston needs to win. Hes gonna have to carry more of the load offensively.

Walker was making more than Raef... i heard on the radio they free up over 7 million dollars for next year to pick up another player. If you saw Walker every night last year like i did then you would think its a good deal for Boston also... and Raef will be a strong presence in the Eastern Conference this year.

I think the Celtics are moving in the right direction in trying to run and will probably be making more moves in the future but it all revolves around Pierce and Raef will help that cause a lot... last year the Celtics couldnt rebound for ****.

They had better use that 7 mil to get someone now. Cause it's gonna be a long season for PP. Hes gonna have to put up Kobe type numbers just to keep the Celtics at the 500. mark.

Ha... you really underestimate them dont you? I mean they lost Walker and gained Lafrenz... LaFrenz will just as good of a job that Walker did PLUS MORE... they will be just as good as lat year which doesnt say much but they'll be alright.

When ever i watched the boston games i wouldnt see Walker play that well, i mean he just shoot 3 pointers and miss most of them, though he is a good player dont get me wrong, but i have to agree with tonkpils here...

True. However, the Celtics have no more perimeter threats. Delk was also traded. Now PP is gonna be doubled out on the 3 point line, hence his shooting percentage will drop, and the team will lose. McCarty will most likely have to fire up more 3s than he did last season. and If he starts missing them, theres really no other go to guy on that team. They better hope Raef doesn't get hurt again. Don't wanna be in a Grant Hill type situation, paying a guy big bucks to sit on the bench in street clothes.

WALTAAAAA MCCARTY IS THE MAN.. hes actually pretty good at threes and thats what theyll use him for... and they have pierce, chris mills and quite a few other guys.
