I've watched The Matrix Reloaded 7 times already since I've bought it on DVD can someone please explain to me what the hell the Architect is trying to say. There probly is another thread in here on this but would someone be nice enough to explain it to the dumb guy. I swear every time I watch that scene I feel dumb. So if anyone has any insight on the Architect explain please.

Also one more thing The Architect says to neo. If im the father of the matrix and she is the mother of it and neo says "who the oracle" and he says "ohh please" Like he is not talking about her... then who is he talking about... Blah im so conufsed..

Concordandly or whatever he says

Bascially, he is outside of the Matrix. He sees it but doesn't control it. Yet he created it. The matrix has happend seven times before. Neo has done the best out of his predessors. He can't understand who to fix the anomaly, which is Neo, becuease his mind is too perfect.

Cordonatly: agreeing.

Neo is the 6th "one" so there were 5 versions before him. We do not know if Neo is doing better than his Predecessors. It's all about choise. To return to the source or get back into the Matrix and if you believe what the architect says, the destruction of mankind.

he is basically telling neo that he is the 6th "one" to enter the source, and that he has a choice: to recreate the matrix and keep the human species alive, or to save trinity and destroy the human race. Basically, the prophecy is a lie, it is mainly to keep the humans under control so that they bring the "One" back to the source so that the machines can survive. If the people that are jacked into the matrix learn the truth, they won't accept the programming and the matrix will crash causing the end of the human race, which the machines need for energy. Neo was supposed to choose to rebuild the matrix, but he is more advanced than his predecessors so he chose love over everything else. The oracle is only a program that handles statistics, so she is needed to "predict" the future for the "One" so that he will find his way to the source and start the cycle over again.

She is the "Mother" of the Matrix, because she predicted the statistics of all the people in the Matrix for adapting to the programming, she found out that they need the "One" to rebuild it so that the matrix will continue.

Don't know if that makes any sense, and I think I repeated a lot in it, but that is how I inturpretted it.

erm...yea, i think thats what it basically is when u look at it closely.
To be honest i dont think the makers were doing themselves any favors by makin it so complecated and difficult to understand...so that 80% of the auidence would just be like....blah....

(I'm paraphrasing, trying to remember as much as possible)

Architect: "If I am the father, she is undoubtedly the mother of the Matrix . . ."

Neo: " . . . The Oracle?"

Architect: "Please."

LOL Somehow I don't think it's The Oracle he's talking about. And I also think that he wasn't referring to Neo as more advanced than his predecessors for choosing the heart over the head, but rather that he was inferior to his predecessors for doing so. If you notice, the Architect almost attempts to talk Neo out of taking the left door, of course by using mathematics (saving one person who he says Neo can't even really save vs. saving 23 and with them humanity) . . . machinistic thinking.

i agree totally with Skrybe's comment. it seemed to me the architect tried to talk Neo out of taking the left door as well......... and it is machinistic thinking.

Yeah. Ive always said that the Architect, a lot of the stuff he was saying was probably just over confidence, and/or bs.

the orcale is not the mother. i think its pershophne. but i'm probably wrong. what got me about the whole 5 versions of the matrix thing is this......the orcale states that there are programs from older versions of the matrix and neo doesn't get it, the mer. tells him that he survived his predecessors and neo doesn't get

I guess the most confusing line out from the Architect's was when he said: "She is the mother...!" after that... he started to talk about the 1% and leave us without an answer...

He's telling Neo the truth. There are a total of 6 matrixes.Neo is the 6th One.Zion is gonna get blown up.It's all another form of control. And so on.

Neo must have known that has been previous Matrixes much earleir - i mean Smith talks about the original one to Morpheus in the first matrix film - i just dont think he realized the truth about zion and the prophecy

and while merv. does speak of predecessors Neo does know about the previous one who set the first humans free and other then that Neo is abit slow on the uptake most of the time

I watched Reloaded last night, and I agree that the mother of the matrix has to be pershophne.

I know that the kiss that she gives to Neo has something to do with the next movie, but in the game she also kisses Niobe, so shouldn't that effect her too or something?

Ahhh . . . but Neo did NOT know about previes Matrices. Why? Because all he knew was that in THEIR Matrix, there had been other ONES. Even Morpheus didn't know of previous Matrices; just that there had been other Ones, and that he would be the one who would find the next One.

they did know about another matrix "version" that crashed and the first one, which we know now as the 5th

I think the architect is talking about Persephone. She dealt with emotions or as the architect would put it "certain aspects of the human psychy
