Ok. Im watching Episode 2 right now, and this creepy little F***** comes up to obi wan and asks him " U wanna buy some death sticks," obi wan says "u dont wanna sell death sticks", to which he replies " i dont wanna sell u death sticks" obi wan " u want to go home and rethink ur life," the guy " i wanna go home and rethink my life". Just thinking... i zoomed in and it looks like the "death sticks" are messed up ciggerates. Did george lucas get some money from those "truth" people from tv to put a "you shouldnt smoke" ad in star wars and if u do " go home and rethink ur life"? Whats ur thoughts on that scean. If that isent the case, why put that scean in the movie other than to use the jedi mind trick?????

Think about it, the force works on the weak minded. By having an obvious druggy offer Obi-Wan drugs, then say "you don't want to sell me death sticks", "you want to go home and rethink your life", then having the dealer agree with him, shows a clear message that drugs are for the weak minded.

Yeah, that was cool. I believe that was the kid from the first Matrix film.

I liked that scene too. It added a bit of the humor that SW needs. And it wasn't too preachy, just fun with a bit of a message thrown in.

Interestingly, I heard that this scene is actually foreshadowing an event in Episode 3, in which Obi-Wan confronts Anakin:

Anakin: "I'm going to be a dark lord of the Sith."
Obi-Wan: "You don't want to become a dark lord of the Sith."
Anakin: "I don't want to become a dark lord of the Sith."
Obi-Wan: "You want to go home and rethink your life."
Anakin: "I want to go home and... wait a second!! nice try!" (battle ensues.)

I found the humor and felt it was much needed, but i also see your point and I could see Phillip Morris pushing cash into George's pocket to put a scene as such in a movie franchise such as Star Wars. Cause tobacco is whacko if you're a Jedi.

Its a great idea, at least kids should hear something else than "drugs are good" in the public and in music...

Drugs are bad and all but everyone knows that Yoda smokes the weed.
He used to be a 6 foot tall, blond hair, blue eyed male underwear model until the weed got a hold of him. That is the message you should put into the movie.
