I dont know if anyone already knows but is Neo going to die in revolutions. I think he is gunna die its kinda obvious they even said themselfs. The first matrix was birth reloaded is life and revolutions is death. but I wonder how he will die maybe by smith or its possible he will kill him self in order to save zion who knows.

This is a cool little tid bit from the Reloaded DVD:
In one of the documentaries, one of the crew is being interviewed while sitting on a bench. If you look closely, there is an inscription on the bench. It says "In memory of Thomas Anderson" or something to that effect. Could this be a prop used at the end of the movie? We'll have to wait and see.

yeah i guess after he defeats Agent Smiths he will enter the machine mainframe and when he reaches the source he will die because he has to.. to be assimilated to the matrix and reload the system with his let's say " experience improved parameters"..
remember? "that is where the path of the one ends."
I hope he doesn't die. We know the matrix can be destroyed (otherwise there would be no need for a third movie)... I think the trilogy should end on a happy note, not a sad one. Man oh man, I hope Neo doesn't bite the dust. But if he does, its a given he will die doing something heroic.

either Neo or Morpheus. One of them will surely die

I think the bench is a reference to the fact that he (Thomas Anderson) has already died. He died to society when he was unplugged so the machine might have implanted some great death for him to cover up the truth. He won't die, but Morpheus might.

I'm sure the ending will be great. If he does die I think it would make a good ending. Neo's death and a twist would suit me fine.

Why would the machines have to "cover up" his death in the Matrix. As Thomas Anderson, he was a nobody who worked for a computer company. He had no family or friends. No one even would have realized he was gone. So why would they put a memorial bench in for him. It doesn't make sense. And why would they put it in Revolutions? Nope. I stick to my theory.

As much as I like the character Neo it doesn't really matter to me if he dies in the end or not, I just don't want it to be at the hands of Agent Smith.

I don't want to see Neo die, but I think that his death will mean the end of the Matrix and the war. If that is the case, then his death will be meaningful.
I just don't want to see him die by the hands of Smith.

Why would they put in a memorial bench in for him period? That would recognize his existence and people would question why it was there.

Guys I could be wrong, but I think everyone's taking the memorial bench thing too far. I could be wrong, but it looks to me like it was just an inside joke on behalf of one of the set designers.

I'm not taking it too far. I'm just piecing together information. We know that a main character will die, and this is associated with that, so I figured I'd throw it out there. We only have a few more weeks to wait.

Not exactly . . . (though I might agree with everything you've said except for the last statement) Neo already reached the point where the path of The One ends, which was the door and the Architect. Of course that wasn't the end of HIS path, but based on the past Ones' decisions, of course The Oracle would say that that's where the path of The One ends - because that's where the path of The One has always ended.
Other than that, I think I might agree with the rest of what you said . . . LOL

its Morpheus or Neo. its not going to be Trinity, and she is really the only other main character left.
Trinity has had enough near-death experiences in Reloaded, the Wachowskis are too smart to deal with that again.
I'm about 90% sure both Trinity and Neo both die, atleast their bodies do, while Morph, Niobe and the others survive.
Neo and Trinity enter the source together. She too carries a code that the machines have been searching for to help them further understand humans. Their "digital" selves live on though in the newly formed Matrix that's created by them joing the source. Kind like their kid!

While getting ready to film the sequels Keanu said in several interviews that the first Martix is about Birth, the second is about life, and the third is about Death. I'm taking that as he means one of two things, the destruction of the Matrix, which I doubt because of the Matrix Online Game story, or he means Neo dies. It may be somethings else entirely, but I think Neo will probably die.

in my opinion, neo HAS to die. I mean, he's Jesus more or less. He has to die to save humanity.
But I love that idea of Neo and Trinity going in together- it'd introduce love into the source code of the matrix. and besides, would trinity really watch neo go off to his certain death and not try to do anything about it?
I think Neo SOMEHOW does defeat smith though. The question is, what happens to everyone he inhabits once neo kills him.

It doesn't really matter if he dies to me.As long as his death is,as Ghost put it"When it's my time, let it be for something, not of something."
