View Full Version : Eagle question SPOILERS
OK, we know from reading the books that Eagles rescue Frodo and Sam from Mt. Doom. Do you think that alot of people that just see the movie and not have read the book wonder why the eagles don't fly them in? If I did not read the book and saw that, I know I would wonder why, because so far PJ has not done a good job of explaining why the eagles don't help out more.

Plus, the Eagles arent Middle-Earths taxis, if I remember correctly they dont like to be involved in the battles of men, Elves and Orcs

You've already asked this question on here at least once before. No I don't think people will have a problem with it at all, except the extremely pedantic that like to try and find fault in everything.

No, I asked about the eagles not helping out. This is about the reaction of people. Not a taxi service? When Gandalf was on top Isengard, he called for an eagle, one showed up. They Help out in The Hobbit as well.

Because Gandalf and Gwaihir are friends in the book, I beleive the Eagles are friends with the wizards, excluding Saruman.. and he sent for Gwaihir in FOTR by basically asking for help and sending the Moth
