I pray to the higher Gods of anything that if the Cubs win then McPhail should die of a heartattack and Sosa should be hit in the head and suffer hemorraging. And just to clarify things I root for both the north and the south and yes it can be done!!!!!!

Cubs.
I have a bet going with my friend that if it comes down to Red Sox vs Cubs, that the Sox wil take the series. Just think of that though Red Sox vs Cubs, two teams that havent won since 1918 and 1908, and one of them is going to win. I have wanted the Red Sox to win since the beginning of the playoffs, and after the beat Oakland and made the sereis 2-1. I knew they would come back and win, because the past three years the A's have gone up 2 and lost the next 3 in the Divison series.

Cubs haven't had it in 95 years. I think they have something burning in them after that long.

This may seem a little wierd but I have a feeling the Cubs will win and it all has to do with Back to the Future 2. When Marty walks out of the Diner on the Jumbo-Tron it anouces that the Cubs won the World Series by beating a Florida Team (can't remember which one). I know this isn't the World Series but until the Devil Rays get a good team this is the closest we will get. That's my two-cents take it for what you want.

Actually I think I have changed my mind to the Marlins, they seem on fire right now, even if they are currently losing right now in game 1 of the NLCS

Ivan Rodriguez, what a great player. This guy would win MVP if Marlins go to World Series and beat the (Insert Yankees).

I told you! Marlins are on fire and look to be unstoppable, I picked the cubs to win this series at first, but just before the game started I changed my minds to the Marlins, I want Red Sox vs Marlins in the WS and Red Sox win in game 7.

GO FISH!!!!!!!!
I've been a fish fan for a long time now. Mike Lowell (semi-injured 3rd baseman) went to my highschool - he was a senior when I was a freshman. It's great to root for the home team with a hometown boy on the roster! :D

The #3 Draft Pick in this years MLB Draft. He was a good friend of mine in High School and we graduated the same year. Our Senior year we had 7 classes together. He was Drafted by the Detroit Tigers and knowing there record he should be in the big leagues by next July or early August. His name is Kyle Sleeth.

I felt really bad for Cubs.
Looks like that fan who caught the foul ball in game 6 is going to have to move... perhaps Florida would be a good relocation.
Either that or look over his shoulder for quite some time.
Skinny
10-16-2003, 02:26 AM
seriously... my friend told me that the other Cubs fans were just about ready to crucify him... so security escorted him out, put new clothes on him, and escorted him out a secret exit... heh heh

really... to be realistic... I would of tried to catch it as well... when the ball is coming towards you... you think about either catching it or doging it... but it just sucks for that Cubs fan...

I've been watching a bit of this on Channel 5. I feel realy sorry for that guy who caught the ball and now can't leave his house for fear of being lynched!

Here's something:

That guy is offered asylum in Florida. "You just cost the Cubs the series! What are you going to do now?" "I'm going to Disneyworld!"

I was watching the game, and my power went out during the fourth inning and the score was 5-3 cubs. My power was out all night and I was dying to see who won, I was so happy that the Marlins won. I have never really liked the Cubs. GO RED SOX!!!!!!

on ESPN they said that the guy had written an apology saying that he was all hyped up about the ball and didnt see the player near there going for the ball.

I heard about that, and saw the play, live. Anyways that guy is not to blame, any fan would have done that.

Could someone one fill me in, I didn't see the game?
This is as I understand it? Tell me if it's correct.
"The ball was in the air and the player was about to catch it, but the fan interfeared and after that Florida got 8 hits."

What I find silly about that whole thing was even if Alou had caught that ball it would have only been 2 outs. Marlins woulda still hung about 5 runs on em before getting the third.
GO FISH!!!
Glordreen
10-16-2003, 05:52 PM
true, because after that the shortstop for the Cubs muffed a ball taht could have been a double play and got them out of a jam, and then after that Marlins took the lead.

Still, he interfered in the attempted catch of his own hometown teams ball. Wasn't a smart move. He should've known better.
