Is Neo really the one?

I was watching The Matrix on friday and the oracle said he had the gift to be the one, but wasn't the one. So what I'm saying is Neo can do the things the one can do, but he's not the one...and the kid can possibly be "The One" cause in the Animatrix he is the only human to have freed himself from the Matrix. He self extracted, something that not one of the "Ones" has even been able to accomplish. He died in the Matrix, but lived on...without the benefit of being half program, like "The One".......meh, stupid theory I guess. :o

I also picked up one more thing,

in the scene when Tank is loading the Combat Operations in to Neo (Ju Jitsu, Tae Kwan Do, 'Kugn Fu). Morpheus approaches from the rear.

Morpheus: "How is he doing?"

Tank: "Ten hours straight. He's a machine."

Yes he's the One.

The clue-in for the Oracle scene was the exact line she said right before she supposedly told Neo he wasn't the One:

"Being the One is a lot like being in love. No one can tell you you're in love, you just know it."

That's the exact point. She can't tell him he's the One, he has to know it. She told him what he needed to hear to ease tension or expectations or whatever. He later, on his own, discovered he was the One for himself.
