I've heard rumors, but that's all...

I say this though: If Beregond (unsure of spelling) is in and that little kid who takes pippin to Gandalf during the siege is in, then why not Prince Imrahil???

I think Daniel Logan is to play someone different. Another kid is to play his son. There was a pic of him on these boards I think.

According to Harry Knowles of AICN, Prince Imrahil was a character filmed when he was doing his on-set reports during principal filming. I think he must have more of a cameo type role though, like Beregond, rather than the role he occupies inthe book. :(

I think it would really hurt the story if Imrahil wasn't in there with his armies of the Silver Swan. That's part of the beauty of ROTK, that the kingdoms of men came together to combat great evil.

Yeah cause he comes to Minas Tirith with like 3,000men and knights of Dol Amroth

 Why? Imrahil is the 3rd noblest Man in LOTR, after Aragorn and Faramir. Don't diss the man!

I really, really, REALLY hope he's in it, with more than just a cursory cameo.

What about Beregond!!! He's like the most noble soldier in the whole fricking series!! He's loyal to his Country, King, and Steward - in that order - even if it would cost him his position or his life!

I just realized something. In the trailer, we see part of The Last Debate, where they decide to attack Mordor at Morannon (The Black Gate) to buy Frodo some time, and we're shown Gimli, Legolas, Gandalf, Eomer, and Aragorn. If Imrahil was going to play the part he played in the book, he'd be in that scene. So that means that if Imrahil is in the film, he'll be in a reduced capacity.

Maybe be just he was there but it didnt show him like u just couldnt see him.

Well, I remember one of the pics in that humongous thread somewhere in this forum had a picture of a knight with huge white wings on the side of his helmet. That's not how I pictured it, but it is what the knights of Dol Amroth wore. So I believe that Dol Amroth will be represented, but I think Imrahil's role may be reduced. The story will already be introducing Denethor and Beregond (hopefully), so when you're trying to resolve plot-points it doesn't help to add new characters, IMO.

I agree that Beregond rocks, but I was talking about LEADERS.

I think if anything Beregond and Imrahil will be like Gamling in the TT. He was there but they didn't do anything specail with him besides his little speech with Theoden and have him in the background during major shots. Which I don't mind because for the movies they can't focus on every single one of Tolkien's characters. Would be impossilbe to do and stupid to try.

In all honesty them not being there will not hurt the movie. In the book Tolkien had time to describe them and there characters. We have to remember PJ is fitting tons of material into 3 hours. There is not enough time to Explain who Imrahil really is and such so like I said reduced capacity or background character who might be mentioned once or twice.

Actually, i just thought.. if Imrahil was in, he would be on the characters page on lordoftherings.net but he isn't and it wont be cause New Line are keeping him a secret because they put up a picture of the Witch King

I don't really mind that he is not in it. I expected him not to be. Just like I understand why they aren't putting in the Scouring of the Shire.

I think he would be a way cool character im hoping hes in the movie. I mean he brings 3,000 men with him to Minas Tirith so he helps the battle dramasticly.

well, seeign he's not at the LOTR site, i think he'll appear, but not have a prominent role. just be iin the background, but that will leave all the new people unexplained

OMG I found a pic of Imrahil

lol no thats not really him but it would be cool. And I guess if he just is another person in the background would be better then him not being in it at all.

At first I thought it was that guy from Monty Python and the Holy Grail... Arthur King of the Britons. But on second glance it wasn't. Ah well.
