Was just thinking, when George Lucas has finished Episode III and completed his saga, will there be a public demand for a new movie ????.
My guess is..........of course there will be !. Will he decided to make another Star Wars movie.........i doubt it. But , if he was to make another, it might be cool to base it on the xbox video game 'Star Wars : Knights of the old Republic'.
By this, i mean he could possibly base it 4000 years before the original movies, using different characters and new worlds.
Anybody else think that MAYBE Lucas should make another SW movie ?????

KOTOR will be a TV series, and only written by GL. I don't think he'll direct it.

Maybe the season premiere ep and finalé.

There needs to be a few TV series.

will probably never happen, but a Shadows of the Empire movie

Your right, perhaps they should be a demand for a television series. Why not make an extremely huge mini series or ten part show like Band of Brothers.

KOTOR could be a good idea, because you can introduce new locations and characters, plus it would breath more depth into the Star Wars franchise. Or perhaps, they should do every episode as an individual event in the Star Wars timeline.

I would like to see such episodes based on characters like Jango Fett, Kyle Katarn, Chewbacca, etc. Hopefully, it wouldn't end up been like The Indiana Jones Chronicles, but I do feel that it could have great potential.

It'd be pretty awesome if they developed it into TV series. I'd just like to see George give his universe over to some other talented writers and directors so they can make it fresh again.

Right on.

NO NO NO!!!

We want it PENNED by Lucas, directed by someone else.

If it's not penned by Lucas, it's called Expanded Universe, and doesn't have any role in the SW saga.

I want GL to direct the first ep and last ep... But write all of them, or at least contribute to the story...

i think if someone else penned it, their might actually be some DECENT dialogue

Kinda like Joss Whedon then, Buffy is his legacy, he usually directs a few epiosdes through a season and the rest, he sits back and produces.

Lucas is good at making plot outlines and what not, but falls apart when it comes time to make an actual story. Thats why someone else should direct and write the tv show while Lucas does plot outlines for various seasons. He can construct an interesting story, his problem is making the story come together. by the way JP, your comment about it being expanded universe if someone else writes it...that would make The Empire STrikes Back and Return of the Jedi expanded universe and not cannon?

Oh, and people seem to be getting adz idea mixed up with the cartoon that is being made, Adz wants to see a movie based on the recent video game Knights Of the Old Republic, which could be really cool. Here is how I see it

Knights of the Old Republic Trilogy:

Knights of the Old Republic...Episode I: The Mandalorian Wars

The MAndalorian Wars, the republic struggles until young Jedi Padawan's Revan and Malak defy the Jedi Order who refuse to get into the war...they take command of the republic forces, Revan's strategy and power with the force leads the republic to victory right before the Mandalorian's get the chance to invade the central planets. The episode ends with Revan and Malak facing the Mandalorian leader Lord Mandalore...They defeat him and end the war. Upon leaving the MAndalorian home world where the battle took place, their transport is smashed into by a kamikazee Mandalorian. They crash in a uncharted world in the outer rim. Revan and Malak are presumed dead, but cheered by the Republic Forces and episode 1 ends. SUpporting character is Saul Karath, a hot shot republic pilot who is made admiral after the war. He has a role about the size of Lando. Carth Onasi has a role in this as Karath's student. Canderous Ordo has a role as a celebrated MAndalorian warrior, Jolee Bindo is seen briefly helping Revan with his fight, and Juhani is seen as a young teen while her planet is liberated by Revan.

Knights of the Old Republic...Episode II: The Star Forge

We learn Revan and Malak survived, the uncharted world holds a secret though, the star forge...upon finding out about the power it can hold they are seduced...the dark side grows strong within them. they betray the elder race of the planet who saved them from the crash and kill most of the elders, in exchange the rebels of the planet give them the information on how to gain the star forge. A vessel of the dark side and a factory for a massive fleet. Revan and Malak decide to declare war on the republic...they have truly been seduced by the dark side...to the point where they declare themsevles Dark Lords of Sith. Revan takes the position of Master and Malak reluctantly becomes apprentice. They recreate the Sith Empire. Admiral Saul KArath and loyalists of Revan and Malak as well as several jedi join the Sith. This plus the massive fleet of the star forge allows them to invade republic planets in the outer rim...the republic is out matched...skip ahead 2 years...the republic is still at war with the sith, however they use a secret weapon for the attack on Malak's flag ship...Bastilla...a jedi with the ability of Battle Meditation, which allows her to give an entire fleet the ability to anticipate their opponents every move.....along with that, and Malak's betrayl, they kill Revan. The war should end, but then Malak commands a shocking move...the invasion of one of the main Republic planets...Corellia....the war is still very much going on and even after Revan's death, this Sith is as strong as ever...however, a jedi master, Yoda's species of the council on Dantioone's academy tells Bastilla they now have an ace in the hole.

Knights of the Old Republic...Episode III: Fall of the Sith

A young smuggler (They change the apperance from the original Revan, he was badly scarred in the original battle and needed surgery, this is explained when the secret comes out) aboard Bastilla's ship crash lands on Sith controled Taris with Carth Onasi, yada yada yada...this is pretty much the events of the game...it leads up to a now light Revan fighting Malak for the freedom of the Republic.

Hey, thats pretty good George...........!. Like i said, maybe a movie based on KOTOR would be good, but someone previously mentioned a T.V series , or a mini-series, like Band Of Brothers......NOW THAT.......would be cool !!

I wouldn't mind KOTOR as a movie because the characters are new and interesting. I would just hate to see it as a TV series ala Star Trek.

Have been thinking , and have come up with two PERFECT cast members if a movie or mini-series was made of KOTOR :

Bastila - Saffron Burrows (Deep blue sea, Enigma)

Jolee Bindo - Delroy Lindo (Romeo must die, The One)

c'mon, don't tell me those two are'nt perfect !?

KOTOR is a masterpiece in itself. A movie would destroy its wonder. I no longer trust Lucas to do ANYTHING right. Part of the reason KOTOR was so good is that GL had absolutely nothing to do with its creation.

No way. Jolee = Louis Gossett Jr.

and Rachel Weis for Bastilla

Thats an excellent point....if u've read the old drafts of Star Wars 1 you will notice that the idea is really good but in making the movie GL made some dumb(well in my oppinion anyway) decisions.

Im new here but i dont care lol

I Totally agree.....be it a tv series or movie line, however  What will make this much more intersting then any other starwars story is the fact that it really explores the philosphy of 'the force', especially the second game 'the sith lords'

I would hate to think of another starwars series being made that replicates the same old themes: the fall of the good jedi and the triumph over evil. Whover makes the series should work to explore the problems that arise with "a stubborn jedi council and misguided teaching' or 'what true power is' and of course go deeper intot the nature of 'the force' and its loopholes (eg Darth niphilus's ability to consume life ('he is a breach in the force acording to kreia')

I would prefer if the series even start before KOTOR 1 with the Mandalorian wars, then phases into the Jedi Civil war and finally the KOTOR line....

I dont know if George Lucus could deliver the same level of depth about the nature of the force as the game has, he likes the obvious stuff but then again the force was his idea in the first place so im not sure again, and he doesnt seem too excited about making a movie on such a scale, last a i heard he is going to 'tackle' another popular theme like love stories....

Anyway thats me for now......cheers

I think a KOTOR movie would be pretty cool if done right. Maybe have a young Yoda in there or something to tie in with the other movies, but, if anything, I think a movie about Count Dooku and his turn to become a Sith would be an awesome SW movie (yet again, only if done right).

I'd love to see Shadows Of The Empire but may as well make it animated. That way we can still have the original voices. Harrison Ford wouldn't have to be voicing Han seeing as he'll be frozen in carbonite the entire feature.

I for one would like to see Count Dooku backstory even.

Ohh God! I hope not. Don't scare us all like that. KoTOR and KoTOR II are master pieces. Better than anything lucas could churn out.

Someone said earlier that "Lucas is good at making plot outlines and what not, but falls apart when it comes time to make an actual story. I no longer trust Lucas to do ANYTHING right. Part of the reason KOTOR was so good is that he had absolutely nothing to do with its creation."

I agree 100% with you.

Plus if a movie or even a TV mini-series on KoTOR is made, it would not be accepted as a part of the Star Wars universe, because if it is not penned by George Lucas, it will be part of the Star Wars Expanded Universe.

We already have tons of Expanded Universe Movies and TV series, Most of which were/are crap and unheard of. KoTOR will just be the latest of them and it would be a sad sad day in history to see such a great series be dragged in mud.

Gentlemen, seeing so many of you actually want to have this movie made is shocking. There is already serious talk about having a TV Mini-Series on KoTOR I. Knowing how in hollywood comic/video game to movie/tv series conversions end up it will be butchered like so many have been before and will after it.

Face it, Turning comic books/video games/cartoons into movies/tv series always, i repeat always results in the original fans getting disappointed and giving another generation of air headed kids and pop culture fools who never played the game / read the comic or saw the cartoon, to start acting like its the coolest thing ever as if they were always big fans.

Case and point LoTR, X-men, Dune etc etc. (Sure they did a good job on LoTR but that was because it was done mostly by brits and aussies and very little to do with hollywood with the exception of the animation)

KoTOR was amazing because lucas had nothing to do with it except give it licence to be part of the Star Wars Expanded universe.

As far as i know according to the canon story lines set, Revan is Male and LS.

The Exile is also LS. There is some speculation whether The Exile is Male or Female.

A certain high up official in LucasArts is quite keen on making The Exile Female, however that would effectively get rid of Handmaiden from the KoTOR II line up.

Personally i would prefer The Exile to be Male since that allows for a much better story with Kreia, Visas, Handmaiden, Atton, Bao-Dur. The Exile was a general. I dont mean to sound like a sexist but having a Male play a general would seem more appropriate than a female. (No harm intended ladies).

Anyway, at the end of the day, from my side KoTOR movie. NO! NO! NOT EVER! Ok? NEVER! NOOO........... </end hysterical craze>

DAN!

that will never happen. not worth it. i love the games, but a movie? no. It would be nonsense and i don't think lucas has it in him to make two more movies that big. i think he is done with that stuff
