ok, i think there is already a best quotes thread, so how about the worst quotes you can think of. And try not to limit it entirely to star wars quotes.

"I like having nice tits." -- Elizabeth Berkeley in "Showgirls"
"I am going to make you as happy as a baby Psychlo on a straight diet of kerbango." -- Kelly Preston in "Battlefield Earth"
"Pearl Harbor" had some pretty dreadful dialogue.
"Returning from the dead wasn't all that I expected...but that's life." -- Ben Affleck
"I'm giving my heart to Danny. But I'll never look at another sunset without thinking of you." -- Kate Beckinsale
"That's bull-**** MacCawley!... but it's very, very good bull-****!" -- Alec Baldwin
And "Batman and Robin" had some of the absolute worst dialogue in the history of films.
Mr Freeze: Freeze in hell, Batman!!
Robin: I hate to disappoint you but my rubber lips are immune to your charms.
Robin: I want a car. Chicks dig the car.
Batman: This is why Superman works alone.

That depends how lenient you are. And I'm willing to forgive her for her performance in X-Men merely because of her performance in movies like Monster's Ball (great movie).
downflow311
09-26-2003, 12:40 AM
but still, her performance in x-men was god-awful no matter what other movies she is in. i think she is *highly* overrated as an actress and did NOT deserve a best actress oscar.
Il Duce
09-26-2003, 12:43 AM
Naw, her accent was god awful. Her performance was merely average. And her performance in Monsters Ball was worthy of an Oscar.

Not to get off-topic, but Halle's performance in Monsters Ball wasn't even CLOSE to Oscar worthy.

I dont think it was actually her that one the Oscar. I think it was the performance put on by her boobies that really won the Oscar for her.

yeah, i think it's been established that pretty much every line in star wars sucks. As for halle berry, i thought she made a great storm and i hope she's in the third one. Monster's Ball was a HORRIBLE movie however and i don't care if her performance was oscar worthy, the movie was bad enought that she shouldn't have won.

There are many terrible lines in Masters of the Universe which were delivered unconvincingly by bad actors but thankfully I cannot remember the exact quotes ATM.
Though Blade is probably the best action-vampire flick yet made, THIS line sucked:
"We've got a good arangement. He makes the weapons...I use them."
From the Dolph Lundren Punisher flick:
Bad guy:"Who sent you?"
Punisher/Dolph:"Batman"
Typical and stupid.
From Batman:
"Did you ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?"
Sam Hamm(or maybe Craig Shaw Gardner) was trying to hard to be Frank Miller or Alan Moore. He didn't realise that for a line like that to be as ominous as he intended, it would have to bear some relevance to the story itself(re:The "This will be a good life/death..." from Miller's TDKR or "There were these two guys in a lunatic asylum..." from Moore's The Killing Joke).
The "Devil in the pale moonlight..." line just comes off as forced and stupid.

ok, i agree with you for the most part. But that batman line is great. Batman is a GREAT movie and that line is awesome.

Viva le differance!I thinkthe first and second bat-flicks were not much better than the 3rd and 4th ones.Terrible C2F translations!
Especially compared to the Miller/Moore/Barr/O'neil stories.

It was because the humor in Terminator 2 was naturally hilarious and unexpected.
The humor in Terminator 3 was deliberate and forced.

I hated the "good journey" line when He-Man and the others would put their fingers together in wishing their partners good luck, that line was never in the cartoon why in the hell would the writers ruin an already ruined script?
