Helms Deep will be the best battle ever until ROTK comes out!:applaud:
What were those elves doing there anyway? ;)
It was a great battle; one of the greatest of all time.

It was a pretty good battle but i felt it had some problems with it.
I was hoping for the battle to be a bit more bloodier and more scenes that had close up batte shots. I also wanted it to be longer and without any interuptions[Waiting for EE]. But in terms of best battle sequences, Helms Deep has the best pg-13 battle while Braveheart and Saving Private Ryan have the best and most realistic battles.

i liked it, but it will soon be obsolete. i fear the TTT will be ultimately forgettable because ROTK will be so much more massive.

I chose to vote for the second option because I feel I can be justified when I say that BOTPF will blow it out of the water! :D

I think like in a year they should get all the EE dvd's for all 3 films and put them all together in a huge set and add like 3 more hours of new footage for maximum detail and make it rated R and have complete realistic battles.

PJ has said that they are not going to put them all together (the EEs)

It doesn't matter what PJ says, it matters what New Line does. And I'm willing to bet that New Line will release a box set. Not too soon after ROTK, but maybe in several years... Perhaps 5-10 year anniversary, if not sooner, then for the 20th or 25th anniversary, they'll go in and a la Star Wars, remaster the soundtrack and computer annimation to keep it up to speed with the times... Probably a theatrical re-release, and then all new DVDs (or whatever movies are released on in 25 years... HD-DVDs, who knows... :))

that would be cool, seeing it with even better CGI in 20 something years

DolAmroth

I dont think you could really make the battles look more realistic I mean they could be more bloody and gory but the huge epic shots of the thousands of Urak Hai marching how could that look more real.

well maybe gollum...you never know...no matter how great a CGI is these days...it still looks fake...
DolAmroth

Yeah but I mean gollum does look pretty freaken real but I guess he could look even more realistic. but the battle seens look ar real as real

but in the future, the computers will be more poweful, so they could put in a heap ore detail, such as individual scratches, and stuff like that
