Have a heap of Price films on VHS and am a huge fan of the man.
Always providing a menacing presence and never ceasing to amaze me with his power, the joy of Price's film are that the story and production values are always high too. Creating a creepy atmosphere taht always sustains to teh final frame.

Yeah, Price was a presence that is missed big time. The voice was his main draw for me, the guy was creepy yet likeable.
Another actor from Price's generation that I miss is Roddy McDowell, Like Price, had a great voice that is still remembered today.

Get The Tingler, Tales of Terror, and The Raven too! The latter two are more comedy than horror though...
And by all means, any one who even calls himself a fan of Price MUST get Theatre of Blood!

He was good in the original version of House on Haunted Hill and in Edward Scissorhands. Its sad that he died right after the making of Edward Scissorhands. Actually, my great grandmother knew him a bit. He used to buy antiques from her a long time ago.

Yeah Price was a great, great actor. My mom introduced me to his movies. She is a HUGE fan. My cousin also knew Price. He's very tight with Vincent's daughter now. She shares stories with him about Vincent you'd never believe (not in a bad way). But yes, his acting style is certainly missed today.

Been watching VP films since they played on TV on the old Friday and Saturday afternoon and nighttime horror shows on TV back when it was fun.
One of Price's lost films is one called The Last Man On Earth which was later remade as The Omega Man with Charlton Heston.
If it weren't for Roger Corman and the string of Vincent Price hits he created in the 60's, Price would have faded away into obscurity as at that time, horror was begining to take a back seat to muscle beach party and beach blanket bingo stuff with the likes of James Darren and Frankie and Annette. Corman did more for Price's career than anyone director. A couple of my faves:
Twice Told Tales
Dr. Phibes and The Return of Dr. Phibes
The Tingler and House On Haunted Hill (William Castle produced and directed these.)
The Conqueror Worm (aka Witchfynder General)
One of the BEST however, was House Of The Long Shadows, that had the heavyweights all together in one film: Price, Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, and John Carradine. How can you beat that?
I could goon about Price, but suffice to say that as either the elegant villian or the tortured soul with a secret, Price was fun to watch either way. :applaud:

House of Wax was one of my favorites.

Did you know that Charles Bronson
was in House Of Wax? He played Price's assistant. The silent guy with all the muscles.
