Do u think that there are more and more hardcore movie geeks as a result of the internet and forums like this?

Undoubtedly...you learn that there is someone else out there who shares the same amount of passion for a certain movie that you do. Its spurs you on to get even more involved...a sort of "internet peer pressure" if you will.

It makes you think "hey, maybe I'm not such a geek after all..."

Then you go outside. :)

No, I think that they have always been there but not many people were aware that they actually existed but the internet has changed the world and made it closer.

This in turn has made it seem like there are more and more movie fans out there but really they have always been there lurking in the shadows.

No we just have some vindication now thats all.

I knew a few movie geeks at my school, one very hardcore movie fan - ask him anything about any film he would know the answer and this was before the internet came. (that last comment makes me feel a little old now. )

I think internet has pretty much revolutionized movie "geeks" as we know it. Before the internet you'd actually be suprised about a certain movie when you saw it and now with the internet you can find anything on any movie(before or after it come out). A plethora of knowledge is out there on the internet. More info has been unleashed.......

Yeah the internet helps alot. I use to be a sports geek now i'm a movie geek.

I am a reallly big movie geek. I see just about every movie that goes into theater....well if it looks good anyways....and of all the people in my home, i three times as many dvds and videos and any of them. I watch movies on tv over and over again..if we didnot have the movie channels, i would die!!

That and you can find out a lot more info now about any movie now.
