I only pre-ordered something once but I found out that I can actually recieve the title on it's day of release if I get it from Amazon and I can pay by postal order which is a good thing

Ill buy it on the day of release from a shop - probably means spending an extra 5 pounds or so over an online shop though.

I can't be certain that I will have money on the day of release so if I pre-order when I have the money I'll make sure that I get it on the day of release

Ive heard 18th of November for a US release date.

I dont think there has been any firm anouncement yet though.

Well not that much of a gap between reigon 1 and reigon 2 releases then..Which is a good thing

But there will probably some differences between the 2, plus Region 2 DVDs have better quality than Region 1 due to the extra time left to work with

Amazon.co.uk are accepting pre- orders now. They have the release date down as December 1st.

The longer they make us wait the better quality DVD we get, they might decide to add a few more extras into the Region 2 release because they will have an extra month to prepare the disk

There will be a superbit version in the UK because Columbia Tristar own the publishing rights over here, but the cover shown above is the new Region 1 artwork

Chances are there might be although the films are owned by different companies.

T2...Momentum
T3...WB in Reigon 1 and Columbia Tristar in R2

Empire Online talked to Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines director Jonathan Mostow who says there will be a series of progressively more impressive DVD releases before a final Ultimate Edition

"To make it a truly first-class DVD, with the levels of complexity that are on the T2 Ultimate Edition, takes a long time. You can't get it ready in the few months we have before [the first DVD release] has to be done."

Mostow has really put the effort in, drafting key members of the T3 production to talk about elements of production not usually touched upon, "really specific, cool, nuts and bolts stuff." The director is also squeezing in a number of interesting featurettes explaining why, among other things, all the Terminators look and sound like a certain Austrian bodybuilder.

I think there is only a need for the 1st release....then later on a UE..anything else is just attempts to make more money.

yeah but the problem with the DVD is that later on they will release other editions (i.e ultimate edition) - therefore I aint buying it until ultimate edition is released (probably a year down the line).

Hey the movie industry can sue us for illegal downloads, but we can't sue them for ripping us off.
