I know the one you mean... I can picture the cover in my head but I can't remember the damn name!! The statue that came to life, did it resemble a minutre tribesman type creature? Can you remember anything more about the movie...?

Trilogy of Terror was from 1974. I was 11 when I saw it. And I was scared by that doll. It was a Zuni fetish doll with a chain around it's waist that kept it from coming to life. The actress chased by the doll was Karen Black. This was a good movie.

Dan Curtis was the mastermind behind Dark Shadows as well. He also did a good though somewhat dated TV movie adaptation of The Portrait of Dorian Gray in the 70's which also featured some of the Dark Shadows actors. I remember being scared by this movie when I was little.
