I am not at all promoting this site. But since I am posting it, I guess I am, but in an angry way.

Be warned, he does give some info on the ending, so don't read it if you don't want to have any of it ruined.

These folks (http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/film/matrix50.html) have way too much time to sit and think about how movies make people kill other people (Columbine), how capitalism is bad (Warner Bros. should feel bad for making money while there are hungry kids somewhere in the US), how anyone who spends a cent on the movie is an overweight, ignorate, accomplices to murder, arab hating, women enslaving, animal killers.

He apparently has a hard time distinguishing between a movie and reality.

I kinda went from being ticked off to actually laughing at some of the blindingly infantile statements that 'Dr. Oxford' posted.

Of course this could just be a huge parody, but I doubt it. He did a similar list for LotR (http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/film/50reasons.html). Other vomit-inducing articles can be found there as well.

Sorry if this is a repeat of something posted earlier, I couldn't find anything about this.

I'm so sick of people saying that movies influence murder. So the Columbine massacre happened after a couple of twisted individuals watched the Matrix. There were millions of people that seen the Matrix and DIDN'T kill anybody

Guys, that article is OBVIOUSLY a joke. Read what he says about Aaliyah and Gloria Foster being "dropped" from the movie. It's a bad joke in extremely poor taste when he mentions that "neither actress could be reached for comment".

I didn't bother to read the article, I was just expressing my disgust about how the movie industry is often a scapegoat for whichever moral issue is the topic of the day in congress.

That guy is an ass. If it was a joke, were the plot lines, (that I foolishly read), real or not?

It seems like they are, and if that's the case then I'm super-pissed because I now know how the movie ends, and it would have been WAY better as a surprise.

That guy is a tool.

I don't believe some of these spoilers are real. The ones ive read so far seem pretty rediculous.

And this is most obviously just something for fun. Some of the stuff on it is just silly and totally not written to be serious.

"But the first film was great art, you say?
In the spoon-bending scene, watch closely. First we see Neo bend the spoon almost into a "U" shape... now watch carefully (freeze-frame it, for you DVD owners). A second later it's back to its normal shape again. Ironic that a film meant for no-attention-span kids also had a no-attention-span editor"

"If you need to get in touch with a person, you can simply call them at their office. You do not need to actually mail the phone to them."

Morpheus had posted the mobile to Neo because the call to Neo then couldn't be traced in the time of Neo needing help. Later Morpheus does phone Neo on his home phone and his words were; "This line is tapped so I must be brief" Does this then not explain why the mobile was thus posted to him in the first place!? The agents can trace the phone link to the home and thus find where the Nebuchadnezzer ( Morpheus's ship) is and destroy any hope that manknid had in regaining all dignity!!!!
Can I not say that you don't have any dignity or honour in being the human and be part of controlling the world and not being captive!? Which one would you be the 'controller' or the 'captive'?!

Did the article in The Times tell how Reloaded ends? If so, can someone who read the article go to the website and confirm either Yes or No that the ending given by that moron is real?

13 The Matrix: Reconsidered, 5
Neo can move faster than sound, yet can't move blindingly through bullet time and simply disarm the security guards rather than slaughtering them? It looks like Neo learned his disarming techniques from George W. Bush.

22 The Matrix: Reconsidered further
If you need to get in touch with a person, you can simply call them at their office. You do not need to actually mail the phone to them.

35 Still not convinced the first film was rubbish?
The cybernetic army that took over the Earth, says the film, was solar powered. The human resistance responded by blotting out the sky.

A desperate measure, but surely the only choice they had. It was that, or, I don't know, postpone their counterattack until evening.

48 Hacker heroes?
"He's been going for ten hours straight. He's a machine."

That's right. The first indication that Neo was The One was his ability to spend ten hours sitting in a chair. There's your hero, computer dorks! :applaud: :applaud: :applaud: They just get better and better.

You can tell by the other stuff on the site like the interviews and scripts.
Some are tasteless... but I think its still a joke.

Ah, don't worry about the so-called ending part..I highly doubt that's the cliffhanger, after all the Wachowski's would know better than to let something like that slip out so easily..

The policeman in the opening scene of the first film? Look on the credits and you'll see he's billed as Lt. Geyser ****dick.

Infantile.

Hmm, I didn't know this. I think i'll keep a eye open during the credits.;)

And Neo is pro-Saddam, how cool a similiarity...

And yes, the Matrix is resposible for the bloodletting and shooting massacuer in Columbine, oh the striking comparison! The Matrix is the epitony of all of America's problems, riiight, this is grounded well...Im now disturbed by these movies, seriously. the Matrix is evil, stay away, far far away!

Lol. A few days before Reloaded came out, I was listening to some radio station, WFNX I think, anyway the DJ just blurted out the "ending" to Reloaded. He said it was from that site. I threw my walkman and fell to the floor in the middle of my high school. After I watched the movie on the 15th and found it was a fake ending, I felt like a real ass.

What fake ending did he tell ?

This is from the site "The Neverending Story

A spectacular car chase. The loss of a crucial figure in the human resistance named "the Keymaster." A withering assault on the refuge city of Zion by a boiling swarm of sentinel droids. Neo screaming, holding Trinity's burned corpse. And then, cut to black.

That's how The Matrix: Reloaded ends.

This isn't really one of the 50 reasons, but if I can drive just one person away from seeing this rubbish by giving out this information, I have done my job.

Enjoy your bloody film, yanks. To quote Neo, that's one spicy tamale.

Update: In response to this list, Warner Bros. re-cut the finale, placing parts of it at what is now the opening of the film. The plot makes absolutely no sense now! Take that. "

The guy read the first part of it. I was apaulled.

Yeah well movies do influence people, there was a article from a newspaper a few months ago when Reloaded came out, that said a teenage boy shot and killed his parents because he thought he was living in the imaginary world of the Matrix, and if I remember correctly i think anotherteenager asked somebody else to shoot him because he could dodge bullets, kid ended up injured or dead, not sure. The Matrix movies kick ass, now I know why theyre Rated R, teenagers and little kids cant comprehend reality from fiction. but maybe we do live in a imaginary world similar to the Matrix, u never know, i know a lot of people here thought about it huh? SOMEBODY UNPLUG ME!!!!!! Revolutions is going to kick sooo much ass, its going to revolutionize movies forever!!!! just like bullet time in part 1, and that kickass car chase and 100 agent smiths fight in reloaded. whos with me? Revolutions is going to make that stupid boring Return of the King movie look like Pee Wees Playhouse!!! GO NEO!!!!!!

While some may say im one of the most obvious Matrix fanboys on ComingSoon, being the only constant Matrix poster in the forum... I don't think even Revolutions tops my list for movies I most want to see this year.

Lord of the Rings is hard to beat, and Return of the King is definitly my most anticipated movie.

It seems weird, I think i've said it before. I rarely go to the Lord of the Rings forum on here, because it has a lot of threads with drawn out discussion that's usually same old and fan interest, but not much intellect or interest that intrigues me in anyway. Its merely fans talking to eachother, sometimes not even about Lord of the Rings, and then updates on the movie (true though it's getting pretty bad here as well nowadays).

While on the Matrix forum the discussion of everything in and out has been so in depth I think ive actually gone a little nuts thinking about it.

But even after saying that, Lord of the Rings I find to be much better epic films, and much more fun to go see. The Matrix and Reloaded were amazing in the theatre, and I can't wait for Revolutions. But the Lord of the Rings films have hit me like no other in the theatre. Their special edition DVD's kick arse as well.

And atleast theres not mysterious writers/directors behind Lord of the Rings that WON'T TALK AT ALL!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, I won't be suprised if they end up dead, but just merely it's announced after the films have been released. Just imagine that they died midway through filming the two films, but due to their big names nothing was ever said. Joel Silver finished the films, and they all agreed not to say anything until the films are all released, so supposedly they died after the films were done (conveniently before they gave any interviews or commentaries). Yes, the thought is just a silly conspiracy of mine, but you begin to wonder.

They need to freakin give an interview already, and they BETTER be on the DVD coming out soon for Reloaded.
