I'd say this would be pretty good. NOTE: fan fiction script

I didn't read all of it, I'm on page 63 or something like that, right after the part where the orcs take frodo away and sam settles outside of the gate i skipped to the ending, and man, that sure is gonna be emotional, i got a little sad just by reading it! Very, very good job to the person who did this. It seems like everything I've read so far would be how the movie is.

Hrm, it's *okay* but reeks of unprofessionalism and general ametuer fanfic distortion. It also makes a heap of story mistakes I don't think the actual film will make, and is overall a little too much like TV drama... actually it's very TV in many ways, really. I don't reccomend reading the whole thing, but it's a good overview of what's likely to happen, and an interesting read by all means.

Ahh come on man... The guy obviously put alot of work into it. Its not like its gonna be the movie, its just to give you a better idea of what the movies gonna be like. Why are you giving him (or her) a hard time.

I especially liked the Palantir scene. ;)

 i didn't like it very much. i know it was just a fanfic and all, but it was inconsistant with the other movies, and wouldn't work well as a movie itself. just my opinion, though.

Eh, I aprreciate the effort he put into it, but in all honesty, it isn't very good. I just read the final narration by Galadrial, and the entire thing is way too heavy handed.

Sorry, I didn't like it. I read parts of it, especially Denethor's Pyre and the ending. It didn't do the ending justice. Not even close. Not even by a long shot.

An above average fan-script. You can see the amount of sheer effort the guy put into it. Sure, it's not Hollywood material but this was still written by one guy (I guess) and those who wrote the real LOTR scripts were several, were paid and were professionals.

A labour of love, this is.

I thought it was cool. I especially liked the bit at the end with the Hobbit children arguing over which of them was going to play the role of Sam! :applaud: I hope PJ nicks that idea...

Do not like it too much. First of all, I was pretty sure Hama got his head bitten off in TTT (the movie), so why is he still counseling Théoden? Also, why does Gandalf ride to Orthanc to give Saruman the chance to "turn to the path of good", only to break his staff virtually on sight? I also did not like the way they killed off Wormtongue.

But apart from those things it is not that bad.

well, from the books we know that gandalf does go to isengard, and he does cast saruman down from the order of wizards and it wasn't Hama that got killed by the Warg, but i don't know the other guys name. i think

In the books Hama gets killed at Helms Deep, I believe, so he really has no excuse. I suppose the writer is thinking of Gamling instead.

that was probably it. or the guy hasn't seem the movie (traitor) and is just going on what people have said as to what happens

yea that was cute...but one question- In the books wasn't
Sam a bit younger than Frodo? Saying "Sam is the older one" could end up making fans upset. I know in the movie Sam appears older, but book fans are happy just assuming Frodo's possession of the ring is holding back time (upon careful inspection of the movie, however, very little time passes between Bilbo leaving and Frodo embarking on the quest... whereas in the book it is many years, enough for Frodo to turn 50 which is why he appears to be still in his twenties, he had the ring for all that time). So actually "saying" that outright lie at the end would definitely upset me....even if for the movie it's supposed to be that way.

And I think that line would also confirm Jeff has seen the movie; he was left with the impression "Sam is older."
