Plot Summary:
Casey Affleck will play Robert Falcon Scott, an English explorer who, as the title suggests, raced to the be first the reach the South Pole in the early 20th century. His chief competition (and likely the film's other leading character) is Roald Amundsen, a Norwegian explorer.
