Plot Summary: Based on the 2003 bestselling book by investigative journalist Mara Leveritt about the savage murders of three young children, Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon plays Pam Hobbs, the intrepid mother of murder victim Stevie Hobbs and Oscar winner Colin Firth plays private investigator Ron Lax. Defense attorneys Paul Ford and Dan Stidham are played by Matt Letscher ("Scandal") and Michael Gladis ("Mad Men"), while Judge David Burnett, who oversaw the controversial trial, is played by Bruce Greenwood. In 2011, after more than 18 years in prison, the unjustly accused perpetrators Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley Jr., and Jason Baldwin were finally released, but not exonerated.
