Plot Summary: Matthew Lillard's directorial debut is based on the award-winning young adult novel by K.L. Going. "Fat Kid Rules the World" is about friendless fat teen Troy Billings (Jacob Wysocki) who is so downhearted he's planning to end it all when he's saved by a chance encounter with Marcus Macrae (Matt O'Leary), a charismatic but unreliable 18-year-old punk rocker who adopts Troy as his newly cool pal and changes Troy's life forever. This is despite the protestations of Troy's dad (Billy Campbell), who is convinced that Marcus is a drug addict and menace.
