Plot Summary: Director Timur Bekmambetov ("Wanted") is in talks with Universal about an English-language remake of hit Russian sci-fi thriller "Black Lightning," which he produced.

The 2009 Russian science fiction tale focuses on a student who fixes up an old sedan in all sorts of awesome robotic-like ways and takes on the criminals of his city. Directed by Dmitriy Kiselev and Aleksandr Voytinskiy, the film gained praise and around $20 million in box office revenue.
