Plot Summary: Based on the comic book "Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future" created by illustrator Frank Hampson. Dare, described as Britain's version of Buck Rogers, launched as a comic strip character in the Eagle magazine in the 1950s. The stories were set in the late 1990s but the dialogue and manner of the characters is reminiscent of British war films of the 1950s.
