Plot Summary:
"Up and Running: The Jami Goldman Story" tells the harrowing story of how Goldman lost both her legs below the knee after being trapped in a blizzard for 11 days at age 19. She suffered through multiple surgeries and prosthetics fittings as she graduated from college and became a teacher, motivational speaker and sprinter who competed for a spot on the 2000 U.S. Paralympic team.
The notoriety led to Goldman appearing in her own Adidas commercial and as the Spice Girl Robot in Steven Spielberg's 2001 film "Artificial Intelligence: AI."
