Honestly, I can't imagine Brad Pitt as the most famous-or infamous- nemesis of the world's greatest fictional detective. I can imagine Jeremy Irons in the role. He definitely is the ideal actor, in my opinion, to play Professor James Moriarty. He's tall, has deep set eyes and a menacing voice; everything I imagine whenever I read "The Final Problem."

Brad Pitt is as deep as the shallow end of the pool. You want a good nemesis? Jason Isaacs!

I just saw the first one. I think Liam Neeson will be Prof. Moriarty. There was something very "Liam-Neeson-ey" about the professor's voice in the first movie. So I think Guy Ritchie already has him in mind, but he just didnt appear in the first one for whatever reason.

how about Depp as Mortiarty?
That would be cool! It will be nice to see Depp and Downey in one movie together.. :)

I agree, Depp would make a great Mortiarty. He is just good at playing the bad guy in general! (so I have no idea why in the heck they put him in charlie and the chocolate factory *gags*) But heck yes to that! My 2 favorite actors in the same movie with a great director and based on some of my favorite novels/short stories = EPIC!

how about Edward Norton or Gary Oldman? Though I wouldn't complain if they chose Depp.

Might Michael Caine be too old? Or am I amiss? I imagine Moriarty as an age equal to Holmes...?
