Plot Summary:
"The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day" is the highly-anticipated sequel to indie cult classic, "The Boondock Saints." The film is the continuation of writer & director Troy Duffy's tough, stylized cutting edge saga of fraternal twins, the MacManus brothers (Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery). The two have been in deep hiding in the quiet valleys of Ireland, far removed from their former lives or modern technologies. When word comes that a priest has been killed by sinister forces in the tough underworld of Boston, they return to mount a violent and bloody crusade to bring justice to those who must now suffer the consequences, with a new partner in crime (Clifton Collins) and a sexy FBI operative (Julie Benz) hot on their trail!

This first trailer has left this fan VERY worried about the film.
Second: No Willem Dafoe. That's been since the get go, unfortunately. There were a lot of scheduling conflicts, and he ultimately decided not to partcipate.
Third: CC jr is NOT playing an irish character. He is a huge fan of the saints and wants to be like them. And as you can tell he becomes one of them. There is no Irish prerequisite. Rocco was Italian.
Fourth and Fifth: A lot of movies score differently on rottentomatoes, and several other sites. Everyone has a different taste in movies. This movies isn't going for an oscar, it is for the fans who have clamored for long long time. And as big of a fan as I am, yes, I do feel the trailer wasn't quite up to par for my standards. But ten years of hype, and the mystique built by fandom of the first movie put an unjust amount of pressure and standards on a project like this. But time will tell. Hopefully it delivers.
