Plot Summary:
Determined to help his lonely, widowed grandfather Joe (Andy Griffith) re-enter the dating world, ladies’ man David (Paul Campbell) decides to teach him his “sure-fire” dating tricks, while employing the same methods to meet Julie (Marla Sokoloff), the woman of his dreams. As David's foolproof techniques prove to be anything but in his pursuit of Julie, they quickly transform Grandpa Joe into the Don Juan of the retirement community. While all seems fair in love and war, David soon realizes that his grandpa may have more to teach than learn. Soon it's up to Grandpa Joe to teach David that the best way to win the game of love is not to play games at all.
Also starring Doris Roberts and Liz Sheridan, “Play The Game” illustrates the joys, heartbreak and foibles of dating – whether you’re 18 or 81 - and explores the realities of senior dating and sexuality with refreshing frankness and humor.
